More wins were had by the Wolverine Speech and Debate team at Bellaire this weekend! Worlds Debate, Oratory, Informative and Extemp Speakers came out on top!

Congrats to Lydia Hartless, Ricki Fort and Sophia Merchant who all placed in finals at Alief Elsik this past weekend!! Jackson Barnett and Jaza Sheikh also inched closer to their World Schools Debate state qual!!!

Emily Joseph became the team’s first CCISD state qualified competition while at Elkins HS this weekend! All of these other accomplished team members also brought home hardware and state points!

Brook speakers and debaters net 40 state points at Clear Lake this past weekend! Success in World Schools Debate, Informative Speaking, Extemp, Dramatic Interp and Program of Oral Interp! Second place sweeps overall!

Team President Gregory Stuart will represent Clear Brook at the UIL State tournament in Informative Speaking after placing first at Region UIL this weekend at Foster High School! Elaina Joseph is the Region’s first alternate!

Greg Stuart placed third at the NSDA Congressional Debate meet at Elkins HS this Monday, March 21st! He is the second alternate to the national meet in June and is already qualified in his primary event, US Extemp Speaking!
