We appreciate hearing your honest feedback and are always working to help authors reach the right readers. We do add 10-15k new readers to our lists each month (depending on genre), which means a constantly growing and changing pool of readers. We also limit promos to once every 30 days to help ensure a cadence that guarantees new readers are exposed to your book. Always happy to chat more and help if we can!

@WilChanWrites @MundiLacrima It's true that many responses were from customers of ours, but the survey was also shared by @IndieAuthorALLI and others with large audiences made up of non-Written Word customers.

@MundiLacrima The small sample size doesn’t help. Written Word is a book marketing promo company, so many of the authors who completed the survey are also customers (they maybe already have a good reader base, or at least plan to, to be able to afford these promos on a regular basis).

I know many self-published authors are doing great, but I honestly find it hard to believe that 4 out of every 100 authors are making 20k+ per month! Am I wrong to think that? (This is from the Written Word 2024 survey)

@kelseyketch @WilChanWrites Hi Kelsey - I'm sorry to hear you closed your account. I want to clarify that we do not encourage the use of AI - we feel this is a personal decision for each author. Could you tell me what made you feel this way?

@WilChanWrites That sounds high to me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I unsubscribe and closed my account with Written Word Media when it started encouraging the use of AI. Other authors might have dropped it as well, skewing the results.
