@JFreshHockey @habs_phoenix I think kapanen's results are currently cheeks, but most of his incorrect decisions are just a hair off and he seems to have good instincts--I think in the future (2y?) he'd be a very solid 3C. but he is currently rookie cheeks + a demidov merchant + danault clears for sure

@habs_phoenix kapanen stinks and has been carried by demidov all year. Danault is a much better player. you're overreacting to points in a cold small sample

I like this very much for MTL. Danault skates slow but still thinks fast. I'm curious if we'll see ever him next to Demidov. I think they'd execute some very nice one-touch passing plays. Like a Bolduc - Danault - Demidov line or something like that.

@MarcPDumont where on earth are you getting 36% for this pair? on multiple sites the xG% is about 47%--certainly not sterling numbers but a major far cry from your numbers. considering their QoC, that's actually pretty solid esp considering the lack of F defense in front of them.

@MarcPDumont carrier/xhekaj's TOI/QoC is so far below the other 2 pairs (and even the gap between 1st and 2nd is noticeable, but far smaller) that I don't think there's a risk in trying engstrom on pairs 2 or 3. 1st pair is 49.2% xGF--really great given TOI and QoC. best to leave them be.
