@nonewthing You just used fancy English and examples to explain what everyone else knows🤦🏿‍♂️ thought I was going to learn something new here as to why Arsenal keeps dipping in form at the end of the season. Maybe they'll get lucky this season and win one or maybe both trophies

WHY IS MIKEL ARTETA UNLUCKY? In terms of luck, Mikel’s downfall is that he is facing a philosopher-level manager in Pep Guardiola whereas Mikel is merely a sportsman. The way I describe it is this: Pep has come to the boxing ring in search for the truth of life. Mikel is a young boxer who has perfectly studied and practiced boxing. Mikel therefore can match anyone in the world of boxing but not someone like a Pep who has come looking for wisdom. Let me show you how this works out: Pep can take specific risks that genuinely make no sense until they work out. Antagonizing Ibrahimovic and Eto is something that doesn’t make sense to do if you are in your first job as a manager. Mikel is so good at football management that he would never do this and put his project & career at risk. Pep has no problems risking his entire career. As such, when it comes to dealing with superiors or fellow staff members, Pep is not too concerned with buddying up. Every relationship first and foremost is a question of footballing value. Remember the Joe Hart saga at City? Arteta is so studiously smart that he recognizes the fragility of his position and will prefer to buddy up with power over questioning it. The logic is simple. It buys him enough time to win more power and finally put football value first. This situation has developed with Edu and Berta where Mikel hardly questions a relationship until his position is solid. It makes sense, doesn’t it? Solidifying your position before attacking an enemy base. So Mikel will entertain some underperformance in order to maintain proximity with power. It is a political strategy to guarantee, first, survival, and afterwards, the power to make changes. The problem with this strategy is very small. In fact, compared to a Thomas Tuchel, Mikel is a better operator. However, his rival is an operator we have never seen before: a philosopher in football. Pep is ruthless his position, damn what anyone else says. He takes more career risks than any coach. Consider how City have operated in the January windows of the last two seasons. In both seasons, this one included, they have started struggling and rejuvenated themselves with signings in January. The common theme is that January is a tough market to sign a player in. Clubs hardly want to lose good players halfway through the season. Players also cannot really agitate for a move unless their contract is expiring or something. January deals are a pain in the neck to execute. Most directors & board members will simply tell the manager to exercise patience till summer when they will fully support his dreams. It is not a hill worth dying over. Politically, it makes sense because if you push, you antagonize your superiors & your position as a manager is weakened especially if results don’t go your way. Pep pushes regardless, partly because he has earned the right to do so, but mostly because he doesn’t prioritize such relationships over pitch value. Arsenal had several injuries to their attackers last January. They somehow signed no one and while season ended with nothing. The same thing again this season. Mikel indeed got the players he wanted in the last summer window. They are easy to tell. Zubimendi. Hincapie. Madueke. Eze. A manager like him knows that Gyokeres was not fit for the level. In fact, the recruitment team said so according to reports. Yet Mikel accepted him as a compromise/a reward for getting his way with other players. It is a simple political calculus. You can have one because you have fulfilled my wish on others. Andrea Berta seemed to have taken this opportunity to end Arsenal’s pursuit of Sesko to bring in his own player. Politically, this is a Win-Win situation for Arteta. He got Berta on his side. And Berta holds responsibility for his signing at the end of the day. Arteta will come out of this even more powerful than before. But will it help him be lucky against a Freak Philosopher who doesn’t care for politics?

@RealTshemedi2 Arsenal are organised, they rarely let games turn this chaotic besides they whooped Bayern 3-1. Both PSG and Bayern are terrible at defending but Arsenal are better than them in that regards and Arsenal are the forth highest scoring team in Europe behind Bayern, PSG and Barca

I don’t think Arsenal stands a chance against these two sides. These teams go at you the entire game they don’t celebrate corners

🚨 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: Manchester City and the Premier League are in negotiations about switching the order of Crystal Palace (H) and Bournemouth (A) either side of the FA Cup Final. This would give them one more days rest, with playing three games in 8 days instead of three games in 7 days. — @Jack_Gaughan

Instead of Arsenal selling Gabriel Martinelli, how about converting him to a Left back(LB) just as Lucas Vasquez of Real Madrid since he is very good defensively 🤔🤔🤔 He might be the Ashley Cole the world has been waiting for.....

@Thinkinyagami I was so happy when Thragg cut off his head, he talks too much and he underestimated Thragg by saying together they stand a chance against him. He literally sent them to their graves, he’s lucky Thragg does not enjoy killing his own kind.

I find stupid how the viltrumites kept trying to order Mark to complete the mission on Earth instead of killing him and do it themselves since they found out humans are a perfect species to procreate with.
