@MahDryBread I usually refer to Bulbapedia and PokémonDB, and both say aftermath gets triggered by contact moves. Didn't mean rock tomb specifically — moves like Shadow Ball should technically work too. But yeah, no worries, glad it’s all sorted now 🙂

I've spent the better part of the last hour confusing and spamming sand attack on a Drifblim to get it to knock itself out because Shedinja faints to aftermath if I just attack it directly It worked once, then the Pokemon right after outsped me and knocked me out

@MahDryBread And forgive me if I m wrong. I have seen someone use rock tomb against drifblim in platinum and that didn't trigger aftermath

@YellowMouse8 I'm pretty sure it's direct damage that causes aftermath to make you faint, not contact moves
