For me, hats are an ephemeral thing. I choose them on a whim, a sense of nostalgia, a fit. Sometim s people comment on them with a sense of affiliation or nostalgia, and I smile and nod. They spend a few days/weeks/months/years in my life and then are lost, discarded or gifted.

Did @ahrefs remove the view where you could get a list of every broken link line by line in Site Auditor? Am I hallucinating? Please don't get rid of the most useful export for cleaning up broken links. Only having an option for multiple URLs in a single cell is not ideal.

The one thing I keep harping on in interviews that weeds out bad fits quickly: Growth comes from grinding. It doesn't get created in meetings, and it doesn't materialize from decks. It comes from sitting at your desk, putting your hands on your keyboard, getting into flow, and pumping out *real* work. If you do not grind, you will not succeed here. (I can usually tell from their reaction if the interview should continue or not.)

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as excited about AI in marketing as the next technical marketer, but I'm hearing more than a couple stories about large companies dumping their entire SEO and Content teams to replace them with a bunch of AI workflows and Jr folks. This is *wildly* shortsighted, here's why:

The simplest way to give back: Be generous with your earned knowledge. The best advice comes from lived experience, not theory. Share what cost you time, money, or pride to learn. A few words from the right person at the right time can shift someone’s entire life. Be that person.

i paid my mortgage off today. in one shot. thank you internet. people think you need one massive win. one unicorn exit. one viral moment. but the internet doesn't work like that. the internet rewards consistency. $500 here. $3,000 there. $10,000 from that random project. keep going. you're founder intuition is growing. compound that over 10 years. suddenly you're staring at your mortgage balance thinking "i could just... end this right now." so i did. now, im sitting in this house i actually fully own and i hope it inspires someone to ship something. you could be at your full-time job and launch something this weekend. you could be a student and build between classes. you could be retired and start your first internet business at 65. the internet doesn't check your resume. it just waits for you to show up. and rewards the heck out of you when you do. the internet is undefeated.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. When you are riding a horse, you can't hold the reins too tight, because the horse feels restrained, not controlled. A confident rider (and business leader) knows how to maintain control of themselves first, and the business second.
