Okay, it looks like the US has enough motives for a color revolution in Mexico.
Reason: (Long list below)
Under former Pres. AMLO and his successor Sheinbaum, Mexico has become a bit too progressive or “socialist.”
🔹Minimum wage was TRIPLED in six years under AMLO (from $5 a day to $15/day). Now, Sheinbaum wants to double it again in her term.
🔹 She wants to build one MILLION homes and offer 0% interest mortgages for low-income people.
🔹Sheinbaum de-privatized oil, electricity and railway companies. Not a full nationalization, but gov has majority shares.
🔹She has gone after the 5th richest man in Mexico for back taxes. This was made possible with changes to judiciary (which is controversial)
🔹Her party is trying to reduce the workweek from 48 hours to 40 hours
🔹Trying to provide social security benefits for gig workers (like Uber)
🔹She raised taxes on Coca Cola and forced it to reduce sugar by 30%.
There are other new “sin taxes.”
🔹Big spending on public schools infrastructure and scholarship to help the poor
🔹 Trickle-Up" Economics: The administration operates on a principle of "for the good of all, the poor come first.”
These are all anathema for neoliberal capitalists in Mexico and the US.
During the Cold War, the US overthrew many Latin American leaders for such progressive policies.

The director of the FBI's job is now to justify a crackdown on an *organized* violent left that does not exist. It is not to solve crimes. That's why he's tweeting this out before any real investigation has happened

This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities. While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase “ANTI ICE.” More updates will be forthcoming. These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland, Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers. It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice. Thankfully, no law enforcement personnel were injured. Please pray for the injured and deceased.

I am not sure most people are grasping just how bad this is going to get. Stephen Miller is designating liberal groups "domestic terror organizations." The vice president is saying there is no unity with his fellow citizens. The pieces are being put in place to use the full force of the government against anyone who criticizes conservatives.
