All this up up up and my good trade today was a short. For a long time I could only see longs and I could never get an edge on shorts. Then I hit the charts to improve my weakness. Nowadays I hit shorts just as much as I do longs. Just had to pound it in my head with REPS.

the real shift in trading happened for me when I stopped trying to study price like it was some exact science you only need enough chart knowledge to understand trend, range, and where you want to do business after that, the real work starts can you take the same bet again and again without deviation can you follow your rules after a loss can you manage a trade without turning it into improvisation that's the system not just the setup the routine the risk the execution the review price is never going to give you certainty your job is to build a process that still works without certainty until you do that, you'll keep hopping from strategy to strategy looking for something that was never missing from the chart in the first place the trader improves when the process improves that's when trading finally clicks
