My LinkedIn is trash. In the last 365 day, I posted only 10 times. But thanks to @omoalhajaabiola, I decided to try cold DMs This is only the second cold DM I sent today, BTW 30 minutes later, I have a job offer. If you’re reading this, never stop trying

If you ever think of imposter syndrome as a problem, I promise you it is 10x worse when you finally start working around millionaires. But then it crumbles the moment you realize they have all the same problems and they’re just dudes who want to connect to quality people.

How I grew from 0 → 4,000 followers, The exact steps you can use to grow faster than me. Warning⚠️ [ Long-form Tweets but I promise it'll solve your Biggest pain problems] Stage 1: 0 → 100 Followers Pain: I had no direction. I wrote random things. Nobody cared. But that phase taught me the most important rule: > You don’t find your voice before you start. You find it while posting. What I did: 1. Picked one topic 2. Wrote 1 tweet per day for 30 days. 3. Read my own tweets aloud to see if they sounded real. 4. Commented on 100 creators daily with a thoughtful replies. Result: I learned writing rhythm, found my tone, and got my first 100 followers. Stage 2: 100 → 1,000 Followers Pain: I was posting, but growth felt stuck. So I stopped chasing “growth” and started studying what worked. What I did: 1. Checked which tweets got the most replies, doubled down on it. 2. Started threads focused on lessons and failure learned. 3. Replied to every comment I got. System: Sunday = Write 3 drafts Monday–Saturday = Post 1 tweet daily Saturday = Review analytics manually Result: 900 new followers added with my tweets getting attention not just likes. Stage 3: 1,000 → 2,000 Followers Pain: I was growing, but inconsistent. Some weeks I’d vanish. Then I realized: systems > motivation. What I did: 1. Built a “tweet bank”, 30 evergreen ideas ready to post. 2. Started using Notion to store hooks, ideas, and writing flow. 3. Scheduled tweets on weekends. 4. Built micro-threads (3–5 tweets each) around common pain points. System I used: Morning: Write 1 idea from my life experience. Night: Edit it with clarity + storytelling. Sunday: Schedule posts for the week. Result: I grew from 1,000 to 2,000 in 3 Months with My engagement doubled. Stage 4: 2,000 → 4,000 Followers Pain: I stopped focusing on numbers. I started focusing on relationships. What I did: 1. Started DMing creators I admired, no pitching, just value. 2. Shared mini-wins and failures. 3. Made my profile clear: who I help, how, and why My Mindset Shift Was: I’m not building an audience. I’m building people who trust me. Result: 2,000 + new followers from genuine connection, not algorithm hacks. What You Can Learn From This 1. Start → Don’t wait for perfect clarity. 2. Track → Double down on what works. 3. Systemize → Write, post, review weekly. 4. Connect → Build real relationships, not follower counts. 5. Stay human → People follow stories, not robots. Final Thought: Your first 0 - 4,000 followers aren’t built by tactics. They’re built by showing up every day when nobody’s watching. Start small. Speak your truth. The rest will follow. If you’re between 20–35+, trying to build a one-person brand online? Let's connect. I’ll show you how to write, create, and grow without pretending to be someone else. If you love my tweets and I earned your trust click @Emailcopyjames and follow me for more valuable content🤗 Thanks for reading.

If a client on Upwork hires you on an hourly contract, let’s say $30/hr, and tells you to manually log your hours when you’re done, please be careful. Upwork doesn’t protect manually added hours. They only protect hours tracked with the Upwork Time Tracker. After adding manual hours, a client can take your work, remove their card from Upwork, and your manually added hours won’t be paid. Guess what? I have been scammed of $300 with this exact tactic. The client even called me “nigga” and said he would not pay me, with a laughing emoji. Accept only a fixed-price contract or log your hours with the Upwork Time Tracker. Share this with other freelancers. Thank you.

If you pretend to get people attracted to you, down the line, you’ll end up surrounded by people you don’t really like. And that’s the first step to living in misery 🤔

Your job is to do the best “you” possible. And while you’re at it, other people’s thoughts and opinions of you is none of your business If you want me to give you Barrack Obama, I will undoubtedly fail you But any time you’re interested, I do a REALLY good John Alabi 😎

Last week, I spent 7+ hours creating a Claude Skill library to help you attract writing clients on 𝕏. Today, I'm giving you the entire thing for free: This is the same content system I've trained 1,800+ ghostwriters on—and the one I use to pull thousands of inbound leads to my own business every single month. Here's what's inside: • Ghostwriter Content Strategy Deep Dive—the 5 content buckets that turn your LinkedIn into a client-attraction machine (with examples) • Ghostwriter Content Calendar Generator—a Claude Skill that builds a personalized 4-week content calendar in minutes • The Social Content Writer—a Claude Skill with 102 templates to help you write hooks, short-form, and long-form posts • Anti-AI Writing Detector—rewrites AI-generated text to sound human (ship posts without ChatGPT/Claude giveaways) • [BONUS] 102 Writing Hooks & Templates—a master swipe file I built from years of studying what actually works on LinkedIn (the raw formats used by the Skills) Want it? Comment "content" I'll send it over ASAP. P.S. I made $240,000/year ghostwriting thought leadership articles for industry leaders. And I landed 300+ clients without any experience or testimonials because I was writing the same content for myself. Want to help more people do the same 🚀

My American copywriting mentor always wore a suit to her discovery calls. She was pretty. Had a way with words. And took full advantage of it. She had clients lining up, awwing and wowing as they signed contracts worth thousands of dollars. She always told me, “everything matters in this business. especially how clients perceive you. if you wanna command big bucks, you gotta look the part.” Since learning this, I began to wear nerd glasses on every call. Why? To portray trustworthiness & intelligence. Because even though I am those things, they won’t know if I don’t show them. And yes, it’s got a 90% success rate. My pretty mentor was damn right.

@TheresaArueyin1 Yes... though I'm happily married. 😎 But being in church tells me the quality of spiritual food the person has been feeding on, and it shows me the calibre of people in the church community the person has been hanging out with
