Considering switching to using VSCode as my primary IDE, but I'm too lazy to relearn every hotkeys... Is there a well-trained GPT chatbot that understands VSCode very well and can help me answer 100 "how to do X in VSCode" questions? Things like: - how to duplicate/delete a line - how to open a file in a vertical/horizontal split - how to select the next matching word and activate multi-cursor - how to jump to previous cursor position - etc.

Maybe I missed something but the single most annoying thing to do in mobile safari for me is moving to the end of the search/url field. Either I want to append a search term or I want to modify the url, not the host. Is there a gesture that I’m not aware of?

@tempelorg Depends if the crash is exploitable or not. Open a webpage, download and mount a DMG and there goes your root access…Probably worth a bit. Check out apple’s bug bounty program. typically these programs list the things they pay for and the scope of the Program.

Turns out that while the quick check says the volume is clean (no check needed), a forced check shows quite a few b*tree errors. So I could make a disk img, when opened, crashes the computer. Useful?

I just mounted an external JHFS formatted disk on my Mac - and got a kernel panic, under both High Sierra and Monterey. When I mount it read-only, no crash, and the directory looks fine. I wonder: How one use that in a bad way, so I could score in the Bug Bounty program?

Adding a single prose sentence that describes the "why" to every element of your program (file, function, class, constant, ...) is a superpower. If you do this, you will be able to revisit a codebase after many years, and it will make sense.

Weather apps are cool but I don't know why it's almost impossible to look up the weather from yesterday or the week before 🙃

@uliwitness Use tripmode.ch, it’ll kick in when you run on mobile data and you can block certain apps while on cellular connection.

I am adding a "Rename" command to Find Any File. What's a good shortcut for it? Finder doesn't have one (apart from Return, which I don't want to use), and cmd-R is not it, either. Any suggestions?
