“why don’t you move to SF the people are incredible” the people in SF:

A frustrating thing in AI discourse is that whenever we have a significant capability milestone, we go through the following cycle: - Some people get make exaggerated claims about what’s now possible - Other commentators write (often very good) debunkings that show that the specific claims are overstated - Casual observers are left with the impression that they don’t need to pay attention But the real story is never where capabilities are today but the shape of the curve. The exponential is not flattening.

Okay, this is ridiculous. It is crazy to see people straight up saying Anthropic is lying about Mythos. Because that directly implies there's an industry-wide conspiracy going on and ALL of these companies are also lying on Anthropic's behalf? Why on Earth would their competitors - Google and Microsoft in particular - lie about this and not call them out? Instead, they happily join Project Glasswing and go on record, practically, that Mythos is this good and that they're working with Anthropic to put it to use. You people baffle me sometimes lmao.

Happy to predict that Mythos-level hacking capabilities will not, in fact, cause the collapse of society when released to the public.

all this mythos talk has allowed me to block over 50 new accounts and muting near 100 peope, continuing my road down to near-0 following and an apocalyptically empty For You page

it all makes sense now. dario was still at openai in 2019. he left next year and took his marketing playbook with him. hasn't changed a thing since.

For what it's worth, I think America should cancel its alliance with Israel, which is obviously a bad and unhelpful ally. But unlike leftists and rightists, I don't actually think canceling it will fix any of our fundamental problems, or help people in Gaza.

Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software. It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans. anthropic.com/glasswing
