One again I’m gonna use Roisin Terfy as a springboard to remind everyone that Alison Goldfrapp exists and has always been an ardent supporter of trans rights. She wrote the song ’Become the One’ inspired by the documentary 'My Transgender Summer Camp' and ‘Annabel’ inspired by Kathleen Winter's 2010 novel of the same name about an intersex child. She was one of many British musicians to sign an open letter in support of the trans community in response to the UK Supreme Court ruling on trans women. The success or failure of Coyote vs ACME is something that film studios are going to keep a very close eye on. If it succeeds, studios will be hesitant to shelve movies going forward and could try to find audiences for all of them. But if it fails, studios will almost never listen to those vocal campaigns ever again. There is a lot riding on this film and everyone who campaigned for this movie to be released better show up and show out.
