My copy generated 300 leads in 24 hours for a Career Coaching company. Let me explain how I did it.
Aside writing for SaaS (my main niche), I write for other industries because copywriting itself isn’t just about writing, it’s about strategy.
Last month, the agency I’m working with had a company in the UK reach out to them.
This company wanted to attract frustrated UK workers, build desire for a better-paying career, and move them into a sales call where they sell a paid job-placement or coaching program.
Next, I was sent their video ad to write a copy that matched the message of that video.
Here’s the process I use:
Step 1
I watch the video ad and type out everything said in the video into my notepad. This helps me catch key details, I need to write the copy.
Step 2
I ask myself a simple question:
“What is the awareness level of the target audience?”
In copywriting, there are 5 awareness levels:
problem unaware, problem aware, solution aware, product aware, and most aware.
From the video, the target audience is problem aware. This helps me choose the right emotion and angle to use in writing the ad.
Step 4
I ask myself another question:
“Why will they click, and why won’t they click?”
This helps me tackle objections early and explain the benefits in very simple words.
Step 5
I study the company’s offer. This helps me shape the message around one clear outcome instead of talking too much.
Step 6
I break the ad copy into clear sections:
Headline – to grab attention and stop the scroll
Opening qualifier – to make the right people feel “this is for me”
Credibility / social proof – to show the result is real and achievable
Opportunity explanation – to make the path feel simple and doable
Audience expansion – to widen who qualifies for the offer
Objection removal – to eliminate fear and self-doubt
Value stacking – to increase perceived value and support
Emotional payoff – to link the offer to a better, stable life
Urgency – to trigger immediate action
Call to action – to move the reader into an enquiry call
The result?
300 leads generated in 24 hours. The media buyer didn’t give me access to the ad manager dashboard, but he confirmed the results. Proof is the image below.
Now here’s the thing.
AI cannot replace strategy. If you think you can rely on AI alone and ignore a copywriter, you’ll struggle.
Even if you know how to prompt AI, the real question is: do you understand the core emotions that drive people to click and take action?
Quick question.
Do you currently run ads?
Is your organization or company planning to run ads soon?
Is your business struggling to get quality leads?
Comment the word “Ad copy” and let’s talk.
