I work with a guy from Mexico who doesn't speak a lot of English. A Canadian goose made a nest by one of the paddock gates and hissed at him while he was putting horses out. He comes back to us after and says, "I do not like the cobra chicken."

One thing about Kate O’Connor’s bronze. It was the closest she’s come to gold in spite of dropping back a medal colour. It left a taste of ‘nearly’ about it. Her Irish record would’ve won gold at the last World C’ships. This medal streak is phenomenal & not to be underestimated.

Well done Katelyn. Although, it wiuld have been nice if a little enunciation was employed in the announcement of the winner. Could only surmise who won by the reaction of the winners #dwtsirl

+ blood, heritage, citizenships & our only remaining (after yesterday, too, but for different circumstances - coincidences in life) European home. Ludmila had a huge influence on my life. She will be missed. And remembered. May her soul rest in peace.

To share something personal. My aunt, Ludmila, has passed away yesterday in Rome at age 88. She left USSR in the 1970s. Built from scratch her own successful company in Italy, working in marble and granite extraction and processing business. All on her own efforts and capital. +

◽️▫️ People give you what they are, not what you deserve. What you deserve, you give to yourself. I love this quote. Good morning.

Valentia in Kerry had 0.1mm of rain yesterday and more today, so that is 54 days of consecutive rainfall — some think this might be a record? Not a chance. Valentia had 90 days of consecutive rain between 10/12/2013 and 09/03/2014! We have seen wetter period folks and survived😁

Our #rainfall stats for @DurrowLaois covering year 2025 have been compiled. The year was 5.5% wetter than the 1961-90 average. November was the standout month with a whopping 107% more than average, bringing the almost year long deficit into a surplus. March and May notably dry.

This is the tattoo of the man who’s in critical condition in Beaumont ICU. he was kicked in the head when he was unconscious,he was then also smacked in the face with an e-scooter, then the two men walked off, one came back, put one of his arms in a manoeuvre & snapped it! 🤬

Here’s an idea: maybe keep both because children need to eat and learn and maybe make cuts elsewhere. Maybe stop pissing money down the drain on data centers, bike sheds and printers that don’t fit in buildings and cop the fuck on a bit. Phone pouches, anyone? Jesus wept.

A duck chose a school as home & returns every year to lay her eggs. When they hatch she leads the ducklings through the corridors to the courtyard lake. It’s now an annual ritual with children staying silent out of respect. Respect is beautiful.
