I’ve voted. Already. So have a significant percentage of those who’ll actually end up voting in these elections: because we postal voters have far higher turnout.
Implications:
>Labour are certain to do abysmally at these elections. Because many voters are voting now, while Mandelgate is happening.
>Greens and Reform, who are polling strongly at the moment, are now certain to do well at these elections.

By responding normally, @ZackPolanski has done something Labour politicians can only dream of — be a normal human being

🟢EXC: Zack Polanski has re-vamped his social media strategy after he met the team behind Zohran Mamdani’s campaign
The Green leader spoke to Morris Katz, one of Mamdani’s top political strategists, and has since looked at changing his branding and hiring a videographer in an effort to emulate the appeal that propelled the NY mayor into office in November
The 34-year-old democratic socialist won the mayoralty with more than half the vote on a platform of left-wing policies after a social media campaign helped to attract swathes of voters
Polanski - whose online popularity is already credited with some of his success - wanted to learn specifically about how prioritising social media and video content had shaped Mamdani’s campaign
A Green source said: “Mamdani has set the bar really high for producing a huge volume of high-quality video content to drive his campaign and there is lots we can learn from that.”
Matt Navarra, a social media consultant, said Polanski should “lean into” the “joy and humour and absurdity” of Mamdani’s content in his own videos, rather than focusing on purely political messaging.
“That’s the bit that British politicians still haven’t quite cracked. Attention today isn’t won by being right — it’s won by being watchable.”

I have just joined @TheGreenParty
A lifelong socialist, I left the Labour in disgust at Starmer's dismal policies, and now feel that the reforged Green Party is where I should lay my hat
Great to be on board - some might say better late than never 😊

NEW: Marjorie Taylor Greene says that Trump "flat out" told Pam Bondi "do not release the Epstein Files."
"[Trump] was blocking everybody... he said, 'My friends will get hurt.'... People at Mar-a-Lago, they're going to get hurt.'"
"His reasoning was 'people are going to get hurt.'... He was publicly saying it's a Democrat hoax, saying all this stuff and shaming people, but behind the scenes he was telling all of us, he was telling Mike Johnson... people are going to get hurt."
Greene also notes that Trump "flat-out refused" to have the victims in the Oval Office.

The entire Green Party IS a problem to the likes of the Daily Mail, the Telegraph and the Spectator who are protecting the wealth and power of the super rich.
For everyone else - we're going to end Rip Off Britain.

🟢 London could wake up to a sea of Green on 8 May if current voting projections are to be believed. According to new polling by Ipsos, shared exclusively with the New Statesman around half of Londoners overall are considering voting for Zack Polanski’s Green Party on 7 May.
Keiran Pedley, the UK director of politics at Ipsos pointed out that the Greens have been gaining on Labour for some time. “The Greens have the potential to steal Labour’s modern-day base,” Pedley said, “which tends to be among urban graduate types who are motivated by a desire for radical change and also increasingly by the cost-of-living”.
