K-Electric’s strength lies in its people and that remains unchanged.

After 18 years with K-Electric, including almost 8 as CEO, I have decided to step down. It has been an honour to serve an institution so central to Karachi’s life, alongside some of the most resilient and committed professionals I know. I will support a smooth transition.

Alhamdullilah, good to see this chapter coming to a rightful close. Grateful to all my family and friends who stood by me during this time.

I would like to recognise the high quality performance of K Electric during this rainy season. No breakdown of electricity during the heavy rainfall. I am sure the teams under KE management have put in hours of hard work to ensure continued quality service

With water levels falling swiftly, KE has been able to energise the feeders which were temporarily disconnected to ensure safety of the residents as a top priority. The dedication and the efforts of KE's field teams are commendable who remain available around the clock. (4/4)

The local administration and the GoS, especially the CM Sindh @SindhCMHouse, the Mayor Karachi @murtazawahab1, the Chief Secretary and the @CommissionerKhi are appreciated for their support in swiftly clearing waterlogged areas, especially main arteries of the city. (3/4)

The ongoing rains in Karachi eclipse even the torrential downpours seen in 2020 and 2021. The unprecedented rain - over 240 mm in Karachi - resulted in severe waterlogging, hampering @KElectricPk teams' efforts to respond to disruptions in the power supply system. (1/4)

KE has commissioned 900 MW BQPS-III plants, which is among the top five efficient power plants in the country, launched record-time infrastructure projects like the 500kV KKI Grid, received multi-year tariff and investment plan (c. USD 2 billion) approvals across all segments, and signed long-pending government agreements. It has also attracted Pakistan’s most competitive bids for renewable energy, reinforcing its role as a trusted platform for sustainable power.

We, a country of 1.4billion people do not have a single credible News Channel. This is shameful and worrisome.
