We have so much stuff planned for jsDelivr. ES modules, Deno, better purge, better stats per project, global stats and even network monitoring and benchmarking tools. And that's just the beginning. The more sponsors we get the quicker we will go through our roadmap!

Run your UDP workloads on appfleet.com as if you were running on bare metal! We retain the original IPs while offering high-availability and zero-downtime deployments.

I know this doesn't look like much but it's a test showing that UDP applications hosted on @appfleetcloud get the true IP of the requester while getting proxied through @EnvoyProxy This gives us zero-downtime capabilities while retaining the original request information.

Any open source projects out there that need edge compute or good old dedicated servers? Let us know! We are already working with msys2.org and would love to help other OSS as well!

@appfleetcloud How do you get no startup delay using containers? There has to be some time cost as it scales up or down, no?

@yacinehmito We simply don't shut them down. Once you deploy something it will keep running. So no cold-starts. With our future auto-scaling we will be adding and removing instances as needed, so no "cold start" either. We can provide more details via email if you want :)

@appfleetcloud Then I am gonna ask my initial question: how do you deal with cold starts and containers? 👀 (I am asking as a potential customer. Our app is on a virtual machine at the moment, and we might leap frog to serverless in the coming year).

@yacinehmito We intended to first launch with auto-scaling but we had to push it back. That's why we still mention it in some places. We will discuss it and depending on how soon we are going to launch it we will decide on how to update our pages to make sure there is no confusion.

@appfleetcloud I'll add in passing that, beyond the cold start issue, you are comparing apple to oranges if you don't have auto-scaling. It's weird to claim 3 green checks in performance when a tiny bit of traffic over the edge (pun intended) would make things really slow.

@yacinehmito When the comparison was written they still had cold starts although very short(as we note in the comparison too). They removed all cold start issues in July of 2020 it seems blog.cloudflare.com/eliminating-co… We will recheck these pages and update where needed, thanks for reporting this 👍

@appfleetcloud The screenshot is from Cloudflare Workers, for which scaling down to zero is no issue. From what I just discovered of appfleet, I like it very much. I would like you even more if you weren't doing false comparisons as an acquisition tactic.

@yacinehmito We wanted to make it clear that we don't scale down to 0 which is a problem for many use-cases running on the likes of Lambda :)

@yacinehmito At the moment and until we launch auto-scaling this information is provided by the user in our UI
