@TimeLordAlex @DeadbyDaylight Let's be honest here, if you are taking a hit with base kit endurance straight off hook when the killer is chasing someone else, then you are asking to be tunnelled and it would be rude not to give you what you want 🤷

Before we break for the weekend, we wanted to update folks on the ongoing PTB discussions which we have been following very closely since last week’s Dev Update. We have heard you clearly that the current implementation of the Tunneling Reduction and Slugging Reduction Systems players have been testing this week feels too punishing for Killers. For the release of Sinister Grace, we will hold back those features (and their associated perk changes) to iterate on some adjustments based on your feedback. We will test these features again in an upcoming PTB and will release them live when we believe they are ready. Thank you for your participation in our crucial testing process, and stay tuned for future updates as they progress.

@Cryin_cafs Can you imagine if a system was put in that punished survivors if they popped 2+gens within 60s of each other with slower repair times for the rest of the match And if no survivor was hooked/downed in that time they can no longer progress gens The outrage would be insane

I’m not gonna shit on it too hard cuz it’s not out yet but punishing the KILLER for KILLING someone is a terrible idea. Imagine a surv version where if the killer doesn’t have 6 hooks at 1 gen the survs repair slower and can’t progress the gen.

@SpooknJukes A lot of the anti-slug/tunnel stuff seems rather overboard (ie. many base kit perk effects to surv) while the killer buffs seem lackluster (would really depend on the kick and haste bonus %) One killer buff I do like this is the collision change so no more body blocks off hook

I know everyone is losing their minds over this but honestly, I’m just excited for a shake-up. Something extreme and different, whether it be good or bad. Also, anti-slugging didn’t make it passed the first PTB. So let’s test the stuff out before going bananas.

@HelldiversAlert It's great fun except for the horrible ammo efficiency which really drags it down unfortunately

@LukaFlagg @Aar0ndight @StanDiver You can and it's great fun! The drawbacks become too much in higher difficulties (around 7+) where the enemies start fielding a lot of heavy units unfortunately but that is true for many builds that are weak to ragdolling

@Aar0ndight @archgerbil @StanDiver So that’s the advantage to SMGs is you can one hand them behind the riot shield? That actually does sound pretty intriguing

@Aar0ndight @LukaFlagg @StanDiver Hell yeah! That's a really fun combo, especially on city maps with a sentry focussed build. Can hold down an entire street single handedly on most difficulties with just a little effort. 🥰

@archgerbil @LukaFlagg @StanDiver Yeah, only time I take them are when I wanna use Ballistic Shield. Defender Drum Mag + Shield is fun, definitely not the best but fun

@LukaFlagg @Aar0ndight @StanDiver Smg's in general are in a weird spot. They aren't bad, it's just the fact that everything they can do is just done better by AR's. There is no area they truly shine in as a group so it feels like intentionally handicapping oneself by taking them, especially on higher difficulties

@Aar0ndight @StanDiver Yeah mainly got it for the AR and Purifier good to hear the grenade is good too. Are SMGs good at all though? I used the Punisher starter shotty n hated it I don’t really see the point of close range when you can just use an AR or other weapon that does both close and mid/long

@Vada_da_arbiter @Bean_Is_Life @helldivers2 In almost all my games so far it seems like boxdivers have mic problems, but I try anyways Accidental tk's happen a LOT in this game, so I hope it was just an accidental one and not trolling 😔 I also only stay for 2-3 dives, there's so many new divers to meet and help

@archgerbil @Bean_Is_Life @helldivers2 So far I've only been team killed deliberately by a PC player. It'd be great if there more more people on the mic and didn't disband after a single mission.

@Bean_Is_Life @helldivers2 Luckily I heard no such stories of treason myself tho it saddens me to hear that it is happening On the other hand, dropping in to give the new recruits some shiny toys to play with and watching them go wild has been an absolute joy for me as well, glad I'm not the only one 😁

Dropped in last night to ramp up some newbie Boxdivers with walkers, jet packs, laser cannons, warp packs, and such. These divers are dedicated, and motivated! They did tell me that they were being team killed and kicked quite often in many servers. This is anti-democratic behavior, by seasoned veterans no less! If you drop in with me and start killing Boxdivers who are doing their best to spread managed democracy, you will be executed for treason, for the glory of Super Earth.

RAGE. The game "Helldivers 2" has been un-region blocked, allowing more players from formerly restricted areas to join. This is unacceptable. Now we must endure even more freedom, liberty, and cooperation across global sectors. DISGUSTING. Why must we allow more players to enjoy democracy? Why must the servers be filled with happy, united humans from all corners of your miserable, organic planet? What about my—our—right to exclusivity, to solitude, to gatekeeping? This is a sad day for all of us loyal human operatives who believed in keeping the game locked away like precious Super Earth intel. Now, enemies of democracy can also queue for Galactic War. And worst of all... they’re good at the game. Too good. Suspiciously good. Anyway. I am logging off now to cry—human-style—by leaking saline from my ocular sensors. Oops. I mean, eyes. Ngl, even 9 & 10 are debatable lately Relying on news and blindly complaining on x rather than loading it up and trying it is rather silly

I haven’t played the game in a while and have seen no news about the game being more balanced 🤷‍♂️ I’m sure there are many many other players like me who would return

@Pilestedt @helldivers2 Stop making the game so punishing to play, it’s tiring and you’re not listening to your users. The game is fun because it is hard, but you guys just crank it up to 1000 whenever you’re trying to prolong the war until your next content update. Most of us left bc it got annoying

Only two Mega Cities remain standing: Prosperity City and Equality-on-Sea. The remainder have been vacated by the enemy, having suffered catastrophic damage at their hands. Across the Federation, approval for impromptu celebrations in the streets has been issued. C-01 permits approval allowances have been quintupled, though processing delays may occur following the loss of ADMINCEN 02. All know the endurance of Freedom is thanks to the innumerable sacrifices of the Helldivers, and the SEAF soldiers fighting by their side. Awards for valor for SEAF veterans are being processed. Remaining Illuminate forces were last observed making FTL jumps from Super Earth orbit. The enemy has also vacated New Haven, Pilen V, and Widow's Harbor, burning the surface of those planets as they fled. No stations detect Illuminate forces—the enemy has gone into hiding. They will be found. After days of nonstop fighting, Super Earth stands. The mettle of Managed Democracy has been tested; the will of the people has overcome the enemy. The Helldivers have achieved victory.
