@Erst_Officer @eco_marci @GHGGuru That's only in NA. Globally, the number is much, much, larger. Global warming is a global issue and is a global responsibility. We all need to find ways to fix the problem. NO, I'm NOT suggesting getting rid of cattle.

@eco_marci @GHGGuru There were 60 million bison at 1 point in North America, now there are 95 million cows. That's 50+% increase. But we didn't have a global warming problem with 60 million bison. Just how much of the problem really belongs to 35 million cows?

We have more horses than dairy cows in the US (9.5 vs 9 Million). Not to mention 140 Million dogs & cats consuming the equivalent amount of food as 70 Million people. Curious why cows but never horses, dogs or cats are an environmental issue. Food for thought.

@GHGGuru Would you agree that the US has some 93M cattle? A UC Davis study suggests a cow burps 220lbs of methane annually. 93M US cattle = 9.3M cubic tons of methane per year, or 25.5K per day. Globally, humans = 73 per day. Love me some cows but your post appears misleading.
