@bart_debeer @dr_wendym_RN @OldFrontLinePod I have another book based on another diary from a Swede who fought in the French Foreign Legion in the battle of Verdun, and will check if there is any specific data that is of interest.

🇸🇪🇩🇪People at work are cleaning out their private book collection from home, putting them on a table, free for anyone to take. Sounds amazing and it is. No one is taking the books about the Great War, so I am in heaven. Latest catch from today - two books, one of them I already have, but this is an enhanced version. The war diary of Captain Belfrage, a Swedish officer who served in the German Army from 1915-1920 and served on the Western front. The other book is a diary from the Swedish Doctor and Surgeon, Gunnar Nyström, who had the chance to study the Medical situation in the German Army at the Western Front during 1914-1915. They will be great to study more in detail. I will connect terrain to individuals, and as an example I have already looked into a fellow Swede to Captain Belfrage, Lieutenant (Oberleutnant) Einar Lundberg (Karl Einar Lundberg) who he met during the war, who became POW during the first day of the Battle of Arras, April 9th, 1917. it is mentioned in the book. A quick look through different archives I found some documents connected to Lundberg. He survived the war, and died in Malmö, Sweden, in 1969. It will be really interesting to dig further into these books.
