I've often been asked what are the conditions that would cause me to accept an invitation for a debate. The key criteria are:
1) whether the interlocutor with whom I might be interacting is acting in good faith;
2) whether we have a shared epistemology for adjudicating competing claims;
3) related to item 1, whether it is conceivable that the person in question might alter their position if presented with compelling evidence;
4) that the person in question is equally committed to truth rather than "winning," "cooking," or "destroying" their opponent;
5) whether they have an IQ higher than my belt;
6) that their knowledge level on the matter to be debated is greater than that of my elliptical.
For example, I don't debate young earth creationists, flat-earthers, or Holocaust deniers for one if not more of the latter criteria.
Hope this helps.

Dear @ComicDaveSmith, I'll engage with you here because you were apparently very upset on your most recent appearance on @joerogan's podcast. I don't engage with your positions because in a world of fixed resources, one does not have the time to engage with everyone in possession of an opinion. You've managed to catapult yourself onto the conversation; more power to you. Quantum physicists should not bother with my opinion on the topic since I readily admit that I'm hardly an expert in that field; I dare venture that my knowledge of quantum physics (very little) is orders of magnitude higher than your "knowledge" of Israel and the Middle East. I have epistemological humility; you possess none. Cheers.

Testing a new feature for Microsoft Foundry support in @openclaw. Their website is a jungle, I used to make screenshots so codex can guide me through it, but now Chrome has an MCP so codex can simply connect and drive my browser session and do all of that for me.
The human is no longer the bottleneck.

@DataRepublican @kangminlee @SenateGOP Our government was designed to operate on majorities, not filibusters.

@SenateGOP You have a 53-47 majority. I'm not interested in blaming the Democrats.

SAVE ACT: Rumor has it Leader Thune has a deal that allows Senators to go on their 14-day paid vacation. It would restore funding for the TSA in exchange for stripping out ICE enforcement funding from the DHS bill. The deal kills the Save America Act and gives states money if they implement voter ID but removes any requirement to check that voters are citizens. The good news is that their vacation has been saved.

I nuked my portfolio so bad last year that I've been struggling to gain the confidence back to trade. And bc I don't have the same type of capital anymore, I've been taking gambling swings that I normally wouldn't have. It's not a good place mentally/emotionally and it's an endless cycle.
Lately I've been considering leaning on agents more and take a step back, but honestly I'm seeing mixed results and feedback. Even trying to do the research feels like a full time job. Anyone else feel that burnout?

@LauraLoomer Laura, revisit this when you have children. You’ll have a much different take. Don’t dig in so hard, you can’t reason with an infant to stop crying.
English

Why should people be forced to listen to that for 10 hours?
It doesn’t make you a bad person to not want to listen to another person’s screaming kids.
The entitlement is off the charts. Control your kids.
