I was a conveyancer for 40 years. Right up to my retirement a little while ago, I was acting for people in their 20s buying houses. Because they weren't lazy entitled bastards. My grandson has just bought a house on his own in Lancashire. Seem. Other counties are available. Christ, you people. Always a reason to sit on your arses and moan.

@LASTEXITshirts This and Moonraker are my favourite Roger Moore Bonds because they just go full-on and don't care how far fetched they get. I saw this when it was released in '77. I was 9 years old. It blew my mind. I still have the Corgi toys Lotus on my shelf.

Possibly my all-time favourite Bond movie, 'The Spy Who Loved Me' starts at 21:00 on ITV4 tonight.
The closing credits say that Bond will return in 'For Your Eyes Only', but 'Star Wars' happened and 'Moonraker' was bumped up the list.

Reality of Manchester 2026. Always remember not all homeless people live on the streets. Visiting our outreaches we have people who live in hostels, supported accomodation but still require a hot meal, drink and somebody to talk too

The Black Hole (1979) shows the ambitious filmmaking Disney once mastered—drawing inspiration from popular 1970s disaster movies, and Jules Verne. It features a strong cast, memorable characters, an amazing John Barry score, and a darker tone for older kids. Not just another live-action remake.

@TheStingisBack I remember walking through Leicester Square the night of the premiere. I didn't realise it until I heard Pierce Brosnan being interviewed through the PA. And there he was... Bond, in the flesh. It made my day.

The World is Not Enough was released on this day in 1999.
It might not be anyone's favourite Bond movie, but it holds a special place in my heart. This was the first movie I ever reviewed for a small TV company in Manchester. Brosnan doesn't even hide staring at Denise Richards' assets. 🤣
