@dieworkwear Same for when a new Bond film comes out and every British clothing maker starts promoting their piece that got in the movie.

@wilshipley I’m sure this has been discussed but assuming earth becomes inhospitable, wouldn’t it be easier to make a self sustaining colony here? If you have to pick between two dead planets might as well choose the one with all the people and materials.

a lot of what used to be the online community for classic men's tailoring has become obsessed with wacky shoes—red loafers, green oxfords, and bi-color hippo-elk boots—and i don't get it. this stuff is so ugly.
Well Worn. Worn Well@wwornwwell
Spending an insane amount of money on things that ultimately come off looking cheap is top-shelf rich guy shit.

@dieworkwear theverge.com/2022/10/31/234… I feel this is something you should see.

everyone talks about the quality of cucinelli's clothes. the soft fabrics, sublime construction, and beautiful lifestyle marketing.
but this $2,500 travel jacket was apparently made with fused lapels. and they got delaminated in a dry clean.

@dieworkwear I don’t know how many words that article was but these were the only that mattered.

the photos in that NYT story are so absurd. all of these people look fine. honestly, even the lady who has briefly taken off her birkenstocks because she's sleeping. get a grip. your business casual outfit is no better

@BenKuchera It’s pretty amazing, coming for a person who hasn’t had a gaming PC in 15 years.

@dieworkwear 100% agree in not abusing policies that frankly make life nicer and a little more humane. But for whatever reason this seems less like exploiting a loophole and more a company not honoring a warranty. Maybe that’s the hangup, policy vs warranty?
English

@bitmover I feel like these guarantees also require some responsibility on the part of the consumer to interpret them in a way that's reasonable. Certainly, under the literal definition, you can return these for the rest of your life and only pay $12 for socks. But that seems unreasonable
English

this is why we cant have nice things
man buys 12 pairs of socks from bass pro shop 10 years ago. he took advantage of their "lifetime guarantee" and kept returning them when they wore out. and now he's suing for $5m cause they won't take them back again

@bitmover @ZonardCity Thanks, Joseph! I'm doing a separate post on brands that trade in GBP. Will be sure to include those. This post is just on brands that use euros.
