There's a mindset in Germany where if something is easy to do, it can't be serious. Starting a company should be hard. Getting limited liability should cost you. Bureaucracy is a rite of passage, not a problem to solve. It's struggle culture disguised as startup culture. The assumption is that friction filters out people who aren't committed. But it doesn't.
