I think there’s a line that needs to be drawn here. Some of you need to recognize that there’s a difference between supporting the girls as human beings, and actively hyping or promoting projects that’s being run by HYBE/ADOR. Those aren’t the same thing, even if they get blurred together. And let’s be honest about where this is headed or it’s already starting. HYBE/ADOR will keep moving forward with their plans, bringing in local and Western producers, and collaborators. You’ll see more industry names pop up, more connections, more noise around these releases. People noticing who follows the official account or who’s involved behind the scenes… that’s all part of the buildup. I know there’s been YG people seen following NewJeans’ official account. Whether they just did that recently or they have always followed them is irrelevant. You’re hyping an HYBE/ADOR project. What’s next? You’ll hype it up too when you see “hitman” in the credits of new ADOR songs? At some point, it stops being just about the girls and starts becoming promotion for the system controlling them. And once that line gets crossed, it’s worth asking yourself if that’s something you’re actually okay with. I’m not here to police anyone’s choices. I just hope you know what you’re amplifying, and who ultimately benefits from it.

This is incredibly well-written and thoughtful, sharing NewJeans' own words about what they were fighting for, and why a boycott genuinely supports what they want.

There’s a difference between supporting artists and enabling a system that harms them, and right now, Bunnies are being pushed to really face that line. After losing the contract validity suit, NewJeans going back to ADOR was already hard to accept. For most of us, it wasn’t about trusting the company… it was about the reality that the members didn’t really have better options within the legal situation they were in. The one thing we held onto was that at least the girls would stay together. But then… ADOR can’t even guarantee that despite their promises in court. ADOR announcing only two members initially, moving to terminate Danielle’s contract while suing her for damages, and leaving Minji’s situation unclear… those aren’t just random or neutral decisions. It feels calculated. Whether that was the intention or not, the result is obvious: division, confusion, and a lot of pressure being put directly on the members. And that’s exactly why Bunnies are talking about a boycott. A boycott isn’t about punishing the girls. It’s about not rewarding a system that looks like it’s willing to undermine them. If we keep streaming, buying, and promoting ADOR’s new releases like nothing’s wrong, what message does that send? That this is fine? That splitting the group, treating members differently, and taking legal action against one of them is okay as long as content keeps coming? Some people will argue that a boycott could hurt the remaining members, and yeah, that’s the hardest part. No one’s ignoring that. But it’s worth asking: what kind of support actually helps them long-term? Just consuming everything no matter what doesn’t give anyone any real leverage. Staying silent doesn’t set any boundaries. If anything, unconditional support makes it easier for things like this to keep happening. A unified boycott, though, is different. It draws a line. It says the group should be treated as a whole. That NewJeans is five. That you don’t get to single out members or push them out without consequences. That Bunnies won’t support a version of NewJeans shaped by HYBE and ADOR’s corporate decisions instead of the artists themselves. This also isn’t about acting like Bunnies know better than lawyers or us trying to control legal outcomes. That’s not our role. But we do have control over what we support, what we promote, and what we normalize. And right now, it honestly feels like ADOR is testing just how much fans are willing to overlook. Bunnies have always liked to think we’re more than just passive supporters. This is one of those moments that actually puts that to the test. If we really believe in protecting all five members, not just saying it, but showing it, then a boycott isn’t some extreme reaction. It’s just being consistent. On Feb 25, MHJ made an offer. Feb 27, HH was spotted in London, and on Feb 28, CCTV footage was leaked. Apr 11, Dani’s birthday, her demo song was posted. Apr 12, HH was spotted again, and on Apr 13, ADOR confirmed it. HH is no where to be found between and after.
