i hate when non-disordered people are like “they did this to themselves they dont want help so i dont feel bad” its almost like this is the I Dont Want Help Disorder and an extremely common symptom is wanting to get worse even when you’re on your death bed

I have a friend who does this and it’s so amazing to watch her with her kids because they are so wonderful and thoughtful without ever being yelled at and then I see other parents gentle parent and it’s just their kids running wild with no consequences and they’re all nightmares.

I just watched a mother gentle parent her toddler who was seconds away from a temper tantrum into a calm and patient discussion and I saw him come around to her line of thinking and slowly understand his own emotions and her logic I feel like a witness to a biblical level miracle
