While the Ontario prosecutors office has decided spending a few more million taxpayer dollars to appeal our aquitals and sentencing is perfectly fine, seeking 7 years in prison for myself and 8 years for @ChrisBarber1975, violent and repeat non-Canadian offenders are having their charges stayed, being granted exceptionally light sentences, and, incredibly, receiving absolute or conditional discharges to ensure their immigration processes won’t be impacted. A two tier justice system is bad enough, but what message does this sent to the victims? Kudos to this Judge for speaking out.
