The 5 is able to read the defense and make good passes along with shooting the 3 or midrange jumpers. Moreno can do none of this. He doesn’t have the skill set for the zoom action. I’m sure he’s gonna be relied upon to be the stud we need, and it’s gonna be another mid year. (2)

It’s 2 am and I’m still trying to see why everyone is so set on Malachi being our stud(project)5. He can’t shoot. He can’t dribble. Rarely blocks shots. He does rebound fairly well. Typically in Pope’s offense, the 5 is able to dribble the ball up and get the offense set. (1)

@BrandoAKing @lori_mills Self was never retiring. The spot he would have put KU basketball in would have been real bad. I bet this is his last year though. I personally don’t think the announcement of him coming back changes UK’s odds. Kentucky/Nike getting the money right is what matters.

And then when he retires in August he’ll happily select Jacque Vaughn to run the program like all the other greats have done.
