@bikentech Perspective is incredibly valuable. My point is you may not fully have perspective if you’ve never experienced the role you are now providing fractional consulting services for.

Help me understand how someone can be considered an expert and provide consulting for a role they have never actually held in any organization. Seems wild to me…

@cantshutupsam I agree, but I am talking about some who is consulting and teaching others how to be a strong manager… I believe you should have some first-hand experience managing people.

@cbellwall How is this confusing? Let’s say you were in management. You don’t need to have personally held every role you supervise in order to be good at what you do and capable of sharing your expertise. A Birds Eye view can be just as if not more useful than having boots on the ground.
