@jegaevi @duolingo lol, as a chinese speaker, 'er bei shui' is also TECHNICALLY correct, but people will defo side-eye you if you say that. 'liang bei' shui just sounds better. we basically only use 'er' when counting 123s, in every other case it's 'liang'.

This is why @duolingo is so frustrating sometimes, because how am I supposed to know why it's 两 and not 二 if it's not explained? I looked it up, but it would be nicer if they had a short explanation at least.
