Saw a writer attempt to spell a word today in a writing small group… They spelt it wrong, looked at it, then said “oh wait I think there is a final stable syllable at the end here” AND BOOM THAT IS THE MAGIC OF PHONICS AND WORD STUDY IN OLDER GRADES💖

Today I submitted for National Board. I am SO relieved! 😅

Dear New Teachers, you don’t have to be perfect to be great, you don’t have to know everything to be confident, and you don’t have to get it right every time to make a difference. You just have to care, be present, and keep growing to be your best. You are already making an impact!

Disrespect doesn’t just make people feel bad. It leads them to perform worse. Evidence from medical teams: Even a single insult decreases the quality of diagnoses and procedures. Rudeness disrupts focus and undermines collaboration. Civility is not optional. It’s vital.
