@TrylineUK Surely if that was the case you would have made it catchment meant the wider area around a club, so London could score top points!?

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Captains challenge is not gameplay is it! Also, whilst we are on similarity, how come so many former League players have coached in Union if they are not similar codes? Edwards, Ford, Farrell, Larder, Kiss, Deacon, Radford, Forshaw, Seibold, Gleeson, Hodgson, etc etc

@charlfromdevon @rugby_ap “I guarantee you there is/was more Rugby League in Wales then NFL in Australia.” Said about 5 minutes ago

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Love the denial! So 50-22 came from nowhere did it? How many of the other codes are so similar that they can actually take gameplay from another code and import it?

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap So what? The Rugby codes are very different from American Football. Transferring is not as easy. So it is false equivalence. But seeing as you ask. From some quick research there seem to around 70 American Football teams in Australia, and about 30 Rugby League teams in Wales.

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Hahaha. Ahh no, I have consitently said the games are different, but not as you said "very different". Plus form is a very specific thing based on so many factors. However, the fact remains he did his job and scored tries in both codes. As many as the best Australia have!

@charlfromdevon @rugby_ap Don’t start acting like a cunt. The point is this: if the games were so similar he would have easily been able to transfer over that form. He currently couldn’t. Because they are very different. Listening a bunch of very average winners don’t change that.

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap That was your point about it being easier to transition between codes in Australia, rather than anywhere else right? There is bugger all Rugby League in Wales, so these players didn't play both growing up but still managed a successful transition.

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap If anything the codes have become more alike. Especially with Union continually taking League laws & principles (50-22, goal line drop out, speed up ruck, de-powering the scrum, etc). Thus, the amount of pre-1995 Welsh transfers who had decent League careers is very impressive!

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap You are implying he is shit and didn't score that many tries. I was pointing out that he has a comparable amount to the other Australia wingers (i.e. his competition), so your argument is very weak. Does everything need to be spelt out for you!! 😆

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Since Union went pro in August 1995 (which was the point mentioned earlier) it is 8-8. Sullivan, Harris, Thomas, Quinnell, Gibbs, Phillips, Hadley & Young But far more Welsh players overall. So not about geography at all.

@charlfromdevon @rugby_ap Big task to consider that relevant. Since 1995 Wales has had 0, Australia has had 6. That’s a big difference.

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap To be fair the 1995 & 2000 Wales RLWC squads are pretty cool. Stacked with cross-code talent. At one game in 1995, 13 of their 17 were cross-coders. Four of whom were then in the 1999 (Union) RWC squad. With more following. Doesn't sound like a "very different" sport to me.

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Your Google didn't mention internationals though. So you are the one changing the goalposts. But, I am happy to compare the numbers both at international level and solely club / provincial transfers.

@charlfromdevon @rugby_ap Hold on, know it’s about players who been successful and played internationally? Can you make up your mind please

@brumby_fan @rugby_ap Well, it really isn't as evidence by the sheer numbers of Welsh players who transferred. (Do a bit more than asking Google as research). Wales has always had a slim to none Rugby League footprint yet many of their players have made a succesful transition.
