I struggle to understand why some young, educated women are willing to stay at home with no source of income, especially when the family is not financially comfortable.
I recently spoke to a lady in her late 20s. She said her husband asked her not to work, and she agreed. They have children, their finances are tight, and there are times they barely have enough food. Yet she spends most of her time at home and rarely goes out.
Maybe it's just me, but in this economy, depending on someone else for every little expense from data to personal necessities would make me uncomfortable!!!!
As a graduate, I would want to have something of my own, no matter how little.Everyone has the right to choose the life they want.
Why do some men discourage their wives from working, growing, or becoming financially independent, especially when it could improve the family's quality of life?
