@Forty1_0 Women don't even watch movies they only watch k dramas. Star wars, marvel, DC , MIB, matrix, James bond, Pixar, all of this was made for men. Just before wokeness took Pixar they were making normal movies like Up, Toystory, Cars, Bugs life.

it's so heartbreaking to see all the fanartists of the pitt that have come out since the recent interviews saying they are not comfortable posting anymore... I work as a professional artist, and I am mortified at the idea my fanart would be exposed in those spaces. +

@flowersfromivy it already hurt fandom enough when an influx of people who aren't typically in nerdy spaces came in during covid, now there's even more mainstream spotlight on it

i have a lot of fear about the way mainstream media is talking about fanfiction and making the general public aware of it and i cannot shake the feeling that this will lead to very negative outcomes

@Nhl_hater this generation isn't weird they're just more particular about boundaries. fans no longer try to force their things on celebs to avoid making them uncomfortable, the way it was often done 10-20 years ago, but because of it that kind of respect is expected in return

@White_Wolf_304 @WhateverWh59201 @1mfslw I would agree, but the problem starts when a game is forcing you to play through a story that is weak and uninteresting because they don't know how else to string you along. if you're making a sandbox game, then don't waste my time with a subpar story

I can only describe Crimson Desert as a video game for people who think video games are a checklist of things that are supposed to be in a video game

I believe botw and elden ring are criticised because they became so mainstream they left the fanbase. it's like expecting Minecraft to have the story of kcd
