Today I am receiving an award at my school. That is very nice, and it comes with money that I will use to pay for my niece's exorbitant gymnastic tournament expenses. But I am also potentially at risk of losing my job due to institutional financial strain, which has resulted in across the board dismissals. The dean who will hand me the award is the person who could take away my job. All that I can think to do is to try to give him a "meaningful look," when he hands me the token that comes with the award. But my meaningful looks have an abysmal track record in terms of making any difference whatsoever.

@davidpdeavel As we have discussed, Christendom is amazing. And anyone wishing to correct the dearth of births in this country would do well to fund scholarships to it.

My former colleague, George Harne, has been doing fantastic work as Christendom's president! They're continuing the tradition of excellent undergraduate education while also building out graduate and continuing education to truly form Catholics to build and affect culture.
