Thrilled to be part of the @KairosSwap seed round. DeFi lending has grown to $50B+ but is almost entirely variable rate. In comparison, the interest rate swap market that enables fixed-rate lending in tradfi is 10,000x bigger. That's $500 TRILLION. Kairos is changing this by bringing interest rate swaps onchain. Crypto credit infrastructure is growing up.

Many of our favorite websites would not be available for free, or exist at all, if it weren't for the ad networks that power them. Cookies and tracking pixels exist to reward those that help people discover products and services that they ultimately end up buying. But attribution and referrals in crypto have been handicapped from the start. Instead of emails and device IDs, companies deal with wallets and transaction info. While these exist in public databases they are highly fragmented across hot wallets, cold storage, cexs and now layers upon layers of protocols. Many of these crypto projects, including startups, protocols and DAOs, are stuck overcomplicating things with NFTs or end up optimizing for vanity metrics - things like twitter followers and discord members - instead of the behaviors that drive revenue and engagement from their users. In other words, very little visibility on the marketing ROI and lots of wasted $$$. Excited to announce that this all changes today with the launch of @fuul_xyz's marketing protocol. Fuul is a self-serve marketing tool that supports all major EVM chains and allows for trustless and efficient onchain affiliate, attribution and referral programs. For projects that means optimizing giveaways to users that complete a series of onchain actions (mint nft, stake token, trade, etc.) within a timeframe (ex. hold this nft for x days). Result is less bots, less mercenaries, higher rewards for loyal and real users. For publishers and affiliates that means full visibility on getting paid for the people they refer and escrowed funds so projects can't rug. Coolest thing is the campaigns run directly on smart contracts meaning there is full transparency for all parties. Couldn't think of a better team to go after this problem. @imlocha and @andre_brener have been working on ad networks and agencies for years and running their company how it should be - heads down focusing on product, avoiding distractions and with a lean team until PMF. .@compavc just turned one so I figured it would be a great opportunity to reintroduce it and remind you and the media that crypto-native firms still exist and are actively deploying regardless of a bear market 👇 * Compa's name originates from what I called my best mates while growing up in different countries. A *compa* is a trusted friend who always has your back and will give you unfiltered feedback that may flatter and sometimes hurt because they care and want what is best for you * As the sole partner I run Compa as a super angel, a term that was often used in the 2010s. That means having the speed of an angel investor (committing or passing quickly) but the capital of a firm (investing up to $500k) * We don't lead but don't care if you have a lead. We invest in high market cap tokens but don't invest in token sales *Somehow I've managed to survive this industry for a decade, driven primarily by my curiosity to build crypto products that overlap with fintech, social media, rewards and gaming. In total these products have had over 20MM users across 100 countries, which has opened my eyes to how people view crypto differently based on the cultures and economies they are from, and how these perceptions change over time * I've also gotten my ass kicked doing many of these things. My goal is to save founders time with best practices, find opportunity for growth and avoid some of the mistakes I made * I tend to favor immigrant and international founders because I was once one and they're the ones I relate to most. After all, I believe I can have the most impact investing in people and products I understand. However, Compa as a firm is crypto and region-agnostic. Most of the companies we've backed have raised seed rounds with products that are close to or just recently launched. They span across the whole stack, from companies that use the best practices of the past (web2.5) to those creating brand new business models and paradigms (web3). Some of these include @fuul_xyz 🇦🇷 , @lavanetxyz 🇮🇱, @jia_DeFi 🇺🇸🇰🇪, @karma3labs 🇺🇸🇮🇳, @falco_gg 🇧🇷, @botanix 🇧🇪 and others *I'm more bullish about crypto now than I've ever been. Why? Since getting my first couple satoshis crypto always felt like a distant dream. For bitcoin it was a digital gold to counter fiat currencies. For ethereum it was a supercomputer that could infinitely scale while remaining fast and decentralized. But we always spoke in hypotheticals and there were always giant obstacles we didn't know we could overcome.
