If you know the PayPal origin story, it's a fascinating one. Peter Thiel's Confinity and Elon Musk's X dot com were fierce competitors in the online payments space in the late '90s. As the dot-com bubble started looming, both sides realized that burning cash fighting each other was a losing game. So in March 2000, they agreed to merge, with Elon initially serving as CEO of the combined company. Elon's original vision for X dot com was to build an "everything app," a single platform for payments, banking, and financial services. But internal disagreements over technical direction (Elon wanted to migrate from Unix to Windows, among other things) led the board to replace him with Peter Thiel as CEO while Elon was on a flight. The company eventually narrowed its focus to payments and rebranded as PayPal. Years later, Elon bought back the X dot com domain, largely for sentimental value. And when he acquired Twitter in 2022, he rebranded it to X, essentially reviving that original "everything app" vision he had over two decades ago. Now he has added payments here..

Please be very careful while trying to transfer whatsapp data from one phone to another. I lost all my 5 year WhatsApp chat and along with it all images and videos. I fked up whatsapp chat transfer while copying data from one phone to another. I logged in my new phone, so old phone got logged out. The Google drive backup was broken for some reason so it showed backup not found and in last 5 year I never needed it, so I didn't know. New phone showed no chats. To fix it, I switched sim again to old phone, thinking things would go back like they were. But now that also showed no old chats after login. And i panicked and uninstalled whatsapp on my old phone, hoping while reinstalling, it would read local backup files if they are present on phone. But doing this uninstall deleted the last whatsapp folders I had on my phone too. So there is no msgstore files on my phone to even recover anything now. I feel like the dumbest person in the entire world right now.
