Yesterday, marked the official ground breaking for 211 flats on a council owned brownfield site in Newham.   Has increased the number of homes for social rent from 54 to 81 since consent in 2023 due for completion in 2028, with 36,000 households on the social housing waitlist.

This is likley to be either appealed by the applicant or called in by the mayor of London, citing Kingston’s consistently and significantly under-delivered against the number of homes that it requires. 2/3

Insanely infuriating that this massive station in one of the UKs most worst rail bottlenecks will be limited to handling only a few trains an hour because Rishi Sunak wanted to win a by-election… which he still lost. 🤬
