The combination of Kwankwaso and Peter Obi is just a crazy one. Kwankwaso was the first governor to establish Sharia law in Kano, and Peter Obi is the founder of Hero beer. I never believed a day would come in Nigerian politics when two people would be aspiring to be president, with one being a Sharia law enthusiast and the other a beer producer. Politics in Nigeria has caused the unthinkable.

@chibuzo_mikel @oluwavieraa @woye1 @JohnFanimokun @AdaAnambra2023 @abdullahayofel @aonanuga1956 @BayoAdedosu @Uptownoflagos @UKAPC_Official @Mr_JAGs @TheTope_Ajayi They should just ask Atiku and Peter Obi about what Asiwaju was talking about, and what you will hear is - we want to rescue Nigeria. But they never tell Nigerians the HOW.

This is vintage Asiwaju talking about gas, investment, tax reforms etc at the NESG Townhall in 2022.
He went with members of his team including women like Hadiza Bala Usman, Dr. Jumoke and I believe Olu Verheijen.
This is typical Tinubu. He doesn’t shine alone. He works with a team. These three ladies are today part of his government. Hadiza is the headmistress at Villa coordinating policies, Dr. Jumoke is Minister of Trade and Investment, Olu Verheijen is the Special Adviser on Energy.
Many don't know that before he declared to run for President, Tinubu already assembled a team and gave them several assignments to come up with what is possible in key sectors. Someone like @taiwoyedele started working on tax reform policies for Tinubu even before the elections, which is why one of the first major acts of President Tinubu was the constitution of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms headed by Prof. Taiwo. Today he's now Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy after successfully delivering the most ambitious and comprehensive tax reforms in Nigeria's history.
The executive orders he signed around oil and gas early in his administration didn't just happen, it was thanks to the background job Olu Verheijen and others did and it unlocked a lot of FIDs and restored a lot of confidence in the oil and gas industry.
Asiwaju keeps his think tank away from the politics. The knots in the power sector is being untied gradually. In his manifesto, Asiwaju was clear already about the long-term expectation of full commercialisation of the sector and he consolidated on what Buhari started by amending and Electricity Act of 2023 to enable transfer of regulation from NERC to subnationals who create their electricity market and request jurisdiction from NERC. This is the process of reforms that is not always visible but it is foundational for any future success.
I don't want to talk about the student loans and @NELFUND, which he was clear about in his manifesto or the consumer credit scheme. These are just few of the clear policies he outlined in his manifesto.
Unfortunately some people feel that a Peter Obi for example who has an Aisha Yesufu as the highest ranking person in his circle of think-tank is who will transform Nigeria.
If you ask many Obidients what exactly is Obi's alternative to Tinubu's many policy directions, they will say @PeterObi has compassion but @officialABAT doesn't have compassion 🙄.
You cannot find any place where Peter Obi or the more experienced @atiku for that matter will make such a profound statement of clarity about any sector and what specific policy change they will bring about like what Tinubu said in this video clip. Theirs is to complain and tell us what Bangladesh and Indonesia are doing. Zero local context, zero clarity on what they need to do and some fellows want me support them so as not to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.
Mek I stop here fess...

@infocast_naija @TheoAbuAgada Who are the Nigerians?? Please we re not a part othat gibberish, better say Igbos/SE
English

@TheoAbuAgada Nigerians are behind Peter Obi to get the ticket but Atiku is working to get the ticket too. Atiku don't care about the interest of Nigerians
English

Obi cannot defeat Tinubu alone.
Atiku cannot defeat Tinubu alone either.
Both might even tear their ACLs trying, but teaming up is the closest thing to defeating him.
The only other option is for one to contest with the full backing of the other.
How is this even difficult?
Can you all for once, drop emotions and be rational and pragmatic?
English

@ansem_edet He was thinking that if he goes ther, they will say its the turn of the south lets give it to him, Atiku willl dash him ticket after spending millions of dollars to launder his image in the USA & aftrr all the billions invested in ADC. What a moron
English

If Peter Obi joins and leaves ADC before the elections, for anybody with any active brain cells, this will indicate a lack of direction, his excuse? —“They didn’t give me ticket, I don’t want primaries”
Any sane person will ask, “then why did you join without concluding all these negotiations?”

Governor Seyi Makinde has responded to comments suggesting that a Muslim should be the next governor of Oyo State. Is the governor hinting that his successor might be a Christian?
Do you think religious affiliation should determine who becomes the next governor?
In my opinion, it is becoming clear that Seyi Makinde lacks political experience. He was only fortunate to become governor of Oyo State, because no astute politician would make such a statement publicly.
What are your thoughts?

@Sistaliano But u shouldn’t have ended with “you dont see the movement beyond 2027, everyone knows this

Okay, let me tell you what's going on behind the scene in the Obidient movement 😂.
Fasten your seat belt 😜
Since I joined one of their WhatsApp groups (I actually joined that WhatsApp group few months, but I needed to keep quiet for long so that it will be impossible to remove me), I’ve been seeing what is really going on inside the Obidient camp. Forget all the fine things they post online, things are not as smooth as they make it look.
You remember when Kenneth Okonkwo left and said Peter Obi is not the kind of leader he wants to follow? That situation actually explains a lot. From what is happening, it looks like Obi is not really the one leading the movement. It’s the Obidients that are influencing his decisions, telling him what to do and how to move. And most of their decisions are emotional, which is affecting his political direction.
Some experienced politicians noticed this and reached out to Obi to advise him to take control and not allow that kind of influence. But at that time, he stayed loyal to the group and didn’t act on that advice. That was part of what led to people like Kenneth Okonkwo leaving.
Then came the crisis in the Labour Party. Obi was expected to step in and help resolve the issue, especially with the Abure faction. But some people around him discouraged that, telling him things like he is now the leader of the party and doesn’t need to align with certain structures.
Eventually, they were also part of those who pushed him toward the African Democratic Congress. Now, it seems Obi himself has realized that joining ADC at this time may not have been the best move.
At this point, he has started pulling back from those same people. He is no longer taking their advice like before. Some people within ADC have also spoken to him, telling him that a leader should not allow others to control his decisions like that.
Because of this shift, there is now tension. The people who used to be close to him feel sidelined and disrespected. Before, he used to move around with them for consultations, but now he doesn’t. That change is not sitting well with them.
So even though online they still act united, behind the scenes there are cracks. Some Obidients are even questioning those who advised him to join ADC in the first place.
Right now, things are not stable within the movement. There is internal disagreement, and it’s becoming more obvious. Whether it will hold together long term is something we will all have to wait and see.
But I don't see Obidient movement beyond 2027.
𝕊𝕀𝕊𝕋𝔸𝕃𝕀𝔸ℕ𝕆 🇳🇬💐@Sistaliano
I’m not in a good mood today. I for don share one expo give you. But just know that there is a serious issue going on between Peter Obi and the so-called Obidient leadership, especially those names I mentioned yesterday.

@ansem_edet The guy say na spirituality, can’t the police be reformed??
English

He’s a criminal, that’s the explanation, 98% of policemen are dangerous criminals, you must do something about your recruitment process or strategy, I’m hearing all you need is waec, if only you know how easy it is to get waec in Nigeria even without sitting for the exams

“The issue at hand is a very sad issue, since my 6 years of public relation, this is my most difficult moment. There’s no explanation for this, I can’t even say what was wrong with that policeman” Delta State Police PPRO, Bright Edafe, reacts to the alleged extrajud!cial kp@!n of a suspect by an ASP.
