@kabhinietzsche i am not 100% certain BUT i think it’s partly due to shooting digitally and not relying on huge lighting set ups and gaffers anymore. from an exec’s point of view im sure its much cheaper and people will watch the movie anyways

The biggest issue with films nowadays is that there is soundtrack through almost the entirety. I think that’s why TDWP2 felt like a music video to me bc I can’t recall a single quiet moment in the film like this
