W ostatnich dniach wiele osób przeżywa artykuł w Financial Times na temat „klas geniuszy”. Moim zdaniem zdecydowanie bardziej pasuje tutaj czasami używane określenie „przemysłowa produkcja geniuszy”. Myślę, że wiele osób nie wie, że w Polsce działa bardzo skuteczny system z duszą, oparty o ideę „anty-wyścigu”, którego sam jestem też wychowankiem. Mowa o Fundusz Zdolni (fundusz.org), który do 2025 roku działa pod nazwą Krajowy Fundusz na rzecz Dzieci. Warto jednak przyjrzeć się temu kontrastowi, bo mówi on wiele o przyszłości technologii i społeczeństwa. Chińska Republika Ludowa w ramach strategii „wielkiego odrodzenia” zbudowała system edukacyjny chyba bez precedensu. To element doktryny bezpieczeństwa narodowego i planu „Made in China 2025”. Ten system nazywany też „rurociągiem geniuszy” ewoluował. W latach 80 celem była matematyka i fizyka - klucz do potencjału przemysłowego i nuklearnego. W 2017 dokonał się zwrot, gdy Pekin uznał AI za kluczową strategię wzrostu, system błyskawicznie się reorientował. Informatyka zdetronizowała inne nauki. Uczniowie w tym systemie nie realizują zwykłej podstawy programowej. Już w liceum przerabiają programy uniwersyteckie. Cel jest jeden: wygrywać. Szkoła staje się bezpośrednim zapleczem kadrowym dla technologicznych gigantów. System ten teraz przynosi efekty. Raporty branżowe wskazują, że zespół DeepSeek, który wstrząsnął rynkiem AI modelem R1, składał się niemal w całości z absolwentów tych „klas geniuszy”. Podobną drogę przeszli twórcy TikToka (ByteDance) czy inżynierowie Alibaba Cloud. W kontraście do chińskiego modelu opartego na skali i bezwzględnej rywalizacji, polski system wsparcia uzdolnionej młodzierzy - reprezentowany przez Fundusz Zdolni - to inicjatywa „butikowa”. To model „rzemieślniczy”. Podczas gdy Chiny napędza rywalizacja (rankingi, medale), Fundusz programowo ten paradygmat odrzuca. Jak mawiała Maria Mach, wieloletnia dyrektorka biura Funduszu: „zdolni uczniowie w szkole traktowani są jak konie wyścigowe”. Misją Funduszu jest stworzenie im przestrzeni wolnej od presji wyniku, a polega to na: - Współpraca zamiast konkurencji: Obozy naukowe to wymiana myśli. - Interdyscyplinarność: Matematycy rozmawiają z muzykami, biologowie z plastykami. - Żywa Nauka, która zamiast testów oferuje realne badania w laboratoriach uniwersytetów i instytutów PAN. Analiza historii Funduszu to niestety także analiza wycofywania się państwa z roli mecenasa. W latach 1990–2010 (Złota Era) Fundusz miał stabilne finansowanie budżetowe. Po 2010 roku nastąpiła zmiana paradygmatu na model „grantowy”. Odeszliśmy od dotacji podmiotowych na rzecz niepewnych konkursów ofert. Od tego czasu fundusz musi walczyć o finansowanie i kilka lat temu przeżywał naprawdę trudny okres, który groził zachwianiem jego działalności. W szczególności ja, od zawsze odkąd jest taka możliwość, to przekazuję 1.5% podatku na właśnie ten fundusz, bo wiem, że wykonują świetną i bardzo ważną robotę. Polecam: KRS 0000044710
