Anyone getting benefits totalling over £12.5k per year in value should have to pay tax.
If the pensioners have to, and minimum wage workers have to then so should they.
There shouldn’t be a two tier system between those who work or have worked and those who have not
How can it be that 2 in 5 people in the U.K. have less than £1,000 of savings
1 in 4 Brits have less than £200
1 in 6 have NO savings at all
British people are broke & the school system is not teaching Brits how to manage money
The UK has crossed a line.
Welfare spending: £333 billion
Income tax revenue: £331 billion
We’re now paying out more than we bring in from workers.
This is unsustainable.
There is a woman on @BBCNews this morning complaining that she is struggling to cope because she is out of work and has FIVE children.
She says what a relief it is to get the extra money from @UKLabour with the removal of the two child benefit cap.
My very simple question is - why have FIVE children knowing she won’t be able to afford to look after them?
There is a very simple solution.
It’s called Birth Control.
My beauty. I wish you were excitedly playing peek a "bo" with your little sister. I wish you could steal F's chocolate buttons with Alexander (his favourite thing to do when F wasn't looking). I wish I was buying twice as many eggs. I wish our special days were normal again. 💙❤️
@ellielexx You did everything for your son and continue to honour his memory and life to your audience. Billy will leave a mark in this earth to all of us who follow and especially your charity Billy’s Batallion. Sending hugs to you and his family. 😘
March 29th 2024. Good Friday. Two days before you died.
I set up an Easter egg hunt in the garden, just like I used to every year. We pushed you around the grass in your buggy and helped you find the eggs I’d left in plain sight, to make it as easy as possible for you to
This is the pits...Just heard that in Headingley Leeds, in one of the leafiest, quietest most desirable residential avenues in the city, a hall of residence, adjacent to a convent and right in the heart of an area that houses thousands of young female students living away from home, is to house 250 single male migrants. Is nowhere safe?!

49 years ago today Chris Biggins was driving my beautiful wife to be to Hampstead Registry Office in his Citroen 2 CV, festooned with ribbons & loudly playing through ‘I’m Getting Married In the Morning’!! Met 52 years ago on Richard O'Sullivan's This Is Your Life!
Lucky or what
This is what a 34 week old baby looks like outside the womb.
The UK just voted in favor of killing an unborn child at this age. For no reason, just because someone wants to.
They call it “reproductive rights” because they refuse to call it what it is: murder.
Couldn’t sleep last night! I fear it’s a grave mistake allowing a woman to abort a full term healthy baby for any reason & to not reinstate face to face consultations for abortion pills only safe to use up to ten weeks. Telemedicine is too easily lied to & undoubtedly will be. It’s already estimated 1 in 17 home abortions end up in A&E. There will be many more. It’s abandoning safeguarding for ease & any civilised rights a viable, innocent baby has. We have one of the longest abortion periods at 24 weeks in Europe & support for clinical abortion to term if any medical risk to the mother. I hope any future government will repeal this extension. And that we don’t lose women taking pills not designed to be used after ten weeks or paramedics called to homes unsure what to do with a live miscarried baby whose mother chose to terminate it? It’s a sad day

Can someone tell me what I’m actually paying for?
My latest council tax bill has arrived. £330 a month.
For what?
We still have to pay extra just to have the garden waste collected.
The roads are knackered, the drains are blocked, and every time it rains the streets flood.
The local town is now devoid of shops because business rates and parking charges have made it almost impossible to trade and expensive for people to visit.
So where is the money going?
Councils spend tax revenue on vanity projects like cycle lanes that might see a bike once a decade and disability parking bays that sit empty most of the time.
Meanwhile the services we actually rely on continue to decline.
We are expected to pay more and more for less and less.
And at the same time we all see public money being spent on people who entered this country illegally and have never contributed.
So I’ll ask again.
What exactly are we paying for?
The whole system is broken.
DEPARTURE
We are sad to announce the departure of Toby Down.
During his time in yellow, he played an integral role in our survival last season before being appointed Asa Hall's captain.
We thank Toby for his services and wish him well in his career.
