Shedeur Sanders was criticized for weeks leading up to the 2025 NFL draft for patting the ball before every throw. “He needs to stop patting the ball.” “That patting the ball stuff won’t work in the NFL.” “All of that patting the ball will lead to sacks in the NFL.” “Shedeur does not have an NFL quality release. I pulled up live videos of his performance, and guess what jumped off the SCREEN: He PATS THE BALL BEFORE EVERY THROW. I have not seen ONE article. I have not seen ONE quote from an anonymous GM. I have not seen one statement from an unnamed NFL source….regarding his slow delivery, or his patting the ball! You folks are NOT ready to have the difficult conversation about how the racist sports media in America handles black Quarterbacks coming out of college vs. how they handle white Quarterbacks coming out of college!

Its a critical thing to recognize when staffing needs are considered. Game and practice schedules are written and games are moved or added to the schedule!

I’m late to the party, but as athletic trainining month comes to a close, I want to express my gratitude. There is no single profession more valuable to the field of sports medicine than athletic training. They make our jobs, as physicians, easier. They are the first person the athlete wants to see after an injury. More than the doctor, more than the coach, and, in most cases, more than their parents. They are the unsung heroes of sports medicine. For every championship, there is likely an athletic trainer making sure the star athlete is on the field, and, in some cases saving someone’s career, or life. I can not fully express my respect and gratitude for all in the profession. I can not list everyone I’ve worked with during the course of my career, but please know how much I appreciate and respect all you do 🙏
