I for one am shocked that Christopher Nolan made a good movie, considering he has only ever made good movies.

I feel sorry for anyone that doubted Christopher Nolan. Like denial of Nolan has to be a disease.

#TheOdyssey is an epic tale of unmeasurable scope, grounded by Odysseus' quest for meaning on his arduous journey. Got chills multiple times, the sound literally shook the cinema. The music rocks, it's exhilarating and looks STUNNING & Robert Pattinson KILLS IT. The ending tho 🤯

THE ODYSSEY is staggering. Earthy, ghostly, weighty, touched by humor and grandeur alike. It's pure cinema. Obviously the story is about returning home, but in a larger sense, this is also a return home to the robustly entertaining action movies that cinema was invented to tell.

First reactions to Christopher Nolan’s 'THE ODYSSEY' are overwhelmingly positive. ⚔️ Critics are calling it a “staggering achievement,” “flawless filmmaking,” and “a triumphant, spectacular epic.” Matt Damon’s performance is already being described as one of the best of his career.

The Odyssey is not only one of Nolan's finest films (perhaps "the" finest), but also one of the best in the genre - and indeed, one of the greatest films in the history of cinema. You have to see it to believe it.

I'm not an influencer, just a humble interviewer. I'll say this about The Odyssey: It's an astonishing spectacle and a brilliant, subversive adaptation. The scale was a given, but Nolan's psychological interrogation of events was what satisfied me most. A bracingly modern take.

#TheOdyssey is monumental filmmaking, its interpretation of Greek mythology electrifyingly uncanny. Staggering scale, thrillingly staged action, rich emotional throughlines. The cyclops and Circe sequences are among the best of Nolan’s career.

THE ODYSSEY is monumental. This is Nolan operating on a singular, accelerated level. Its spectacular cast, practical effects and gigantic scale come together to create a spin on Homer’s epic that might surprise people. A beautiful cinematic achievement, and a true masterpiece.

A sensational experience tonight seeing The Odyssey at the world premiere on 70mm IMAX, with pretty much the entire cast (plus Laurence Fishburne!) watching it at the same time. My second go round and even more satisfying this time around. This is rich, propulsive, deeply emotional filmmaking, which in its exceptional third act proves to have a lot in common with Oppenheimer. Too many cast standouts to mention, but today I loved Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, and everything Robert Pattinson did. Big ‘Alan Rickman in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves’ energy. To quote Benny Safdie as the credits rolled, “That was insane.”

Christopher Nolan somehow keeps raising the bar. THE ODYSSEY is one of the biggest, most epic movies I’ve ever seen. It’s got massive battles, incredible IMAX visuals, and feels like a true myth brought to life, but underneath all of that it’s really about one man trying to get back home. That’s what hit me the most. Matt Damon absolutely owns the role of Odysseus. You feel every loss, every mistake, and every victory with him. Anne Hathaway is fantastic as Penelope, and Tom Holland surprised me in the best way. He’s proving he can be much more than Spider-Man. The supporting cast is stacked, Ludwig Göransson’s score is unbelievable, and Nolan’s practical filmmaking makes everything feel real instead of CGI overload. Every frame feels huge. If you love Greek mythology, sword fights, monsters, gods, emotional stories, and movies that actually make you think, this is everything you could want. Nolan didn’t just make another blockbuster—he made an adventure that feels timeless. I seriously can’t wait to watch it again. This might end up being my favorite Nolan movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
