Hitting a baseball has not changed nearly as much as pitching. Crazy velo increases only but then all the new pitches and the tunneling they are able to dial in.

I only see 2 problems with this argument:
1. It can’t be proven. It’s based on a bunch of metrics that weren’t tracked until very recently.
2. It generally implies, and sometimes overtly claims, that the greats of old would not have been great today.
In 100 years, there will be people on an app somewhere claiming that Shohei Ohtani couldn’t have dominated in today’s game and they’ll be basing that on metrics that we don’t even track today.

This is for all us old hats who claim "The game was just as difficult when we played as it is today." Nonsense. It's exponentially more difficult to hit today than it was 20 years ago. Stop with the nonsense.
