Egbon Dele Momodu and I now support different individuals. I believe all Nigerians should support President Bola Tinubu to deliver on his renewed hope agenda until 2031 for Nigeria's benefit and, most especially, stability. After eight years of a Northern President, the Presidency should reside in the South and specifically with Asiwaju Tinubu for eight years, God sparing his life. Nevertheless, I know for a fact that Bashorun Dele Momodu, even though he studied Yoruba, is a bona fide journalist. A journalist is an individual who writes for newspapers, magazines, news websites, or other media in a way that enables their writings to be broadcast. A Professional journalist is one who has either learnt on the job or someone who has been classically trained in journalism at a college and has work experience. By this universal definition, Dele Momodu qualifies. On the issue of being on anyone's payroll, I know personally that Bashorun Dele Momodu himself has tens of people on his payroll. I can also testify from personal knowledge that he is a billionaire in Naira and, in addition to his publishing business, has real estate holdings in the United Kingdom, Ghana, and Nigeria, where he recently moved into his newly constructed home at Banana Island, Lagos. I greatly admire Bashorun Momodu for the feat of sustaining Ovation Magazine and transitioning it from print only to digital. He was able to do this even before the famed Newsweek Magazine achieved that. For this, he ought to be commended. This does not mean Egbon Dele, and I must always see eye to eye. I will counter him if he writes, says, or causes anything to be published in any way that I feel is not factually accurate about President Bola Tinubu and his government. We may banter, but we will still partner. Nevertheless, I will still call a spade a spade and say that in the history of journalism in Nigeria, Dele Momodu is up there with the likes of the late Dele Giwa, Ray Ekpu, and Stanley Macebuh. FEMI FANI-KAYODE: AN AMBASSADOR WITHOUT DECORUM By DELE MOMODU To those begging me to ignore FEMI FANI-KAYODE, my apologies, I can't. I know Femi well. He is a bully. But I have plenty time for him. And I gladly obliged him, after which he sent "Thanks brother. Very kind of you." Is he already suffering from dementia? As for Ovation International, he used our platform to celebrate the birthday of his son, for which we did not charge a kobo. This was what he wrote and sent to me: "Good morning my brother. May I send you videos and pictures of my sons birthday party which took place on 25th. They are great shots and I would appreciate it if you could select a few for your usage... Always and forever my brother. I am proud of you and I wish you well. Keep up the great work." What work or business does Femi do except scavenging for political appointments? With all his boastfulness about his silverspoon status, he has not attained a global brand except for the wrong reasons. His estranged wife, Precious, reached out to me, to speak to Femi to grant her access to their children. She regaled me with unprintable and horrendous tales of Femi's inhumanity to her. I obliged and got Femi and her to reconcile, technically. Femi was so excited that he pestered me for progress on the matter, regularly, including asking me to speak to a female Senator: "I hope you managed to reach her my brother." What more can I do to make Femi happy?.. I understand Femi's strategy. He needs to remain in Tinubu's good books just in case GERMANY falls through and he needs another appointment... FEMI FANI-KAYODE: WHEN WILL YOU STOP BEING A THUG? By DELE MOMODU I knew Chief Babaremilekun Adetokunbo Fani-Kayode, Q.C, SAN, of blessed memory, the father of David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode aka FFK, in Ile-Ife, long before I met his querulous, garrulous and cantankerous son. Femi is a classic case of a wasted investment. He attended some of the best schools pedigree and/or money could purchase, but turned out an outright and incurable thug. He went to Cambridge University, probably a 4th generation in his family, but became an enfant terrible, fighting anyone and anything, including esoteric spirits, in sight. All supplication and intercession by friends and family on his behalf have failed to cure his strange malady. And this is the man President Bola Tinubu is about to unleash on Germany as an Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for God's sake. For Femi, it is a fulfillment of a long expected appointment. We discussed it several times. And I encouraged him to be patient and prayerful. I felt his deep frustration and depression. He was already working on Plan B, and begging a few of us to help him reach out to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON), if all hopes evaporate. Femi without power is like fish out of water. I was going to ignore these two perpetual agents of perfidy but later decided to respond to them just in case they think they could bully me into 🔕 silence and submission. No. They can't. They both have no credibility whatsoever. Together, they've expressed the worst views ever about BOLA TINUBU that they will never be able to erase, or clean up, in a million years, except the world finally comes to an end. I know how many times Femi and Reno have reached out to me, privately, either begging for publicity or apologizing for attacking me publicly. All I have accused Tinubu of is DICTATORSHIP and I stand by it with my full chest. I oppose tyranny because I once suffered under it. Chief Moshood Abiola won an election but dictatorship deprived him of his victory. Why should we replace military dictators with civilian slavemasters. That's my only grouse against TINUBU. Because of our past association, I have been partial and generous to him by not being as critical of him as I did to his predecessors. Because of TINUBU, I stopped writing my PENDULUM column on the backpge of Thisday and The Boss newspapers. Also, out of respect for Yoruba elder statesmen, including retired Generals who pleaded that we give him time to stabilize. They are alive to bear me witness. BREAKING: Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has alleged that officials of the ICPC attempted to compel him to withdraw from political activities as a condition for his release from detention, according to details contained in a 30 pager criminal complaint he filed before a court. In the complaint against the ICPC chairman, Musa Adamu Aliyu, and four other officials, El-Rufai claimed that officers of the anti-corruption agency informed him that he would only regain his freedom if he stopped participating in politics. According to the filing, the allegation appears in Paragraph 12 of the criminal complaint, where the former governor stated that during his detention, ICPC officers allegedly acting on the authority of the commission’s chairman told him his release was conditional on ceasing all political activities. He argued that such a demand amounted to an attempt to force him to abandon his constitutional rights. The claim is further detailed in the affidavit in support, particularly in Paragraphs 22 to 24, where El-Rufai’s counsel stated that the former governor was repeatedly told that continued political activity would prolong his detention and that only a commitment to withdraw from politics would secure his release. The allegation forms the basis of Count Six in the complaint, which accuses the officials of wrongful confinement with intent to compel, an offence cited under Sections 264 and 267 of the Penal Code. El-Rufai is asking the court to examine the conduct of the ICPC officials, arguing that the alleged actions represent an abuse of office and an unlawful attempt to restrict his participation in the political process. The ICPC has not yet publicly responded to the claims contained in the court filing.

I do not understand the logic behind this conversation: 1. The only reason WIKE could not be suspended or expelled f5om PDP is his stranglehold on the Judiciary and President TINUBU 2. WIKE will be nobody today if not for the unholy alliance between him and TINUBU 3. OBI left PDP before the Presidential Primary. How can any serious commentator blame ATIKU for the problems of PDP 4. PDP chose to throw its Primary wide open, a decision that was controlled by WIKE'S group, and WIKE lost, how was that ATIKU's fault again. 5. WIKE lobbied to be ATIKU's running mate and lost out, and later chose to support TINUBU; how's that ATIKU's fault. 6. Was there a guarantee that either ATIKU or OBI or WIKR would have defeated TINUBU on PDP platform. 7. The Constitution of Nigeria supremely allows everyone to pursue his/her own dreams, legitimately, so what's this obsession with trying to suppress ATIKU who has never stopped others from pursuing theirs. 8. Was it ATIKU that scattered the Labor and NNPP Parties. 9. Why are people pretending not to know that Nigeria is under a tyrannical government with access to unprecedented war chest and appurtenances of power. 10.
