Happy birthday to my three handsome triplets Ragnar, Aiden and Liam and to their beautiful mother, my ex-wife, Precious all of whom are celebrating their new age today! To the triplets I say, on behalf of your older brother Aragorn and the entire family and household, that you have brought us so much joy and we are very proud of you. Our love for you is endless and our faith in you is total and complete. The three of you make life worth living and your courage and strength is utterly inspiring. Always filled with joy and always putting smiles on the faces of all those around you: you are indeed, together with your siblings, my strength and the joy of my life. May God bless you today and always and may He grant you many more beautiful years of good health, peace, joy, prosperity and blessings. He has guided you, provided for you, protected you and caused you to prosper and excel despite so many challenges and against all odds. That in itself is a miracle and as I see you go from strength to strength, each with his own unique and distinct gifts and qualities, it simply affirms my faith in God and confirms the fact that He can do ANYTHING and cannot be limited in His power, splendour and manifold blessings. In the three of you I see the love and faithfulness of God and I witness His goodness, mercy and splendour in open display. I thank Him for your respective lives and I thank the three of you for being my strength and my anchor and for giving me a purpose to fight on, to live and to excel. In all three of you, together with your older brother Aragorn, by the grace and mercy of God, I have four sons in whom I am well pleased and who will keep the flag flying long after I am gone. For this I thank the Lord and I say glory and honor be unto His holy name forever. To Precious, the mother of my children, I say thank you for being such a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration for our four handsome sons. I still remember watching you and holding your hand as you brought each of them into the world. Those were beautiful moments that no-one can take from either of us. We went through so much and had our differences over the years but isn't it wonderful how the Lord has established the peace between us for the sake and love of our children even as we walk our separate paths. That is the greatest testimony of all and has confirmed the fact that, with God, all things are possible. You have proved yourself to be such a wonderful mother and I am so proud of the fact that though we have gone our separate ways and have both found peace and happiness in our respective lives you are not only the mother of four of my children and ex-wife but you are also one of my dearest friends and closest confidantes. May your days be long Mama Aragorn, may you excel and prosper and may life be kind to you. Even as I pray for our sons every day I pray for you too and I marvel at your strength, resilience and commitment to these four young men. It serves as a lesson to us all. Have a great day too my dear and continue to shine in all your endeavours. May God be with you and yours now and always. (FFK) CT

President Tinubu: The Man Who Saw Tomorrow Dear Citizens of Nigeria, I hope you see what is occurring in the Republic of Senegal, where its government has just collapsed over the issue of a fuel subsidy, which it can no longer afford, after it rose from $418 million to $2.3 billion because of the Middle East crisis. Sadly, this crippling fuel subsidy has drained the revenues of that beloved nation and seriously limited the government's ability to provide social services. I hope Nigerians can now see the wisdom of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, who foresaw this ahead for Nigeria and took harsh but necessary decisions that have now resulted in an economically and politically stable climate for our country. This is why Nigeria has experienced 12 consecutive quarters of GDP growth and trade surpluses, adding $67 billion to our economy and moving us from a GDP of ₦269.29 trillion on May 29, 2023, when Asiwaju became President, to ₦372.8 trillion today. Nigerians may recall that, in addition to Senegal, Mr Peter Obi had urged Nigeria to emulate the economic policies of Argentina, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. Given the economic realities of today, and the soundness of the Nigerian polity, especially the fact that the International Monetary Fund acknowledged us as the sixth largest contributor to world GDP growth in 2025, it is hoped that Mr. Peter Obi can be honest to his followers and true to his conscience by admitting that he was wrong and that, indeed, President Tinubu's policies were the right panacea for Nigeria. And just as I congratulate President Bola Tinubu for winning the APC Presidential Primary election today with 10,999,162 votes, I urge Nigerians to remember whose economic policies brought Nigeria out of the doldrums, and whose would have plunged us into crisis. Hearty congratulations to my friend, His Excellency, Colonel Kayode Are (Rtd), Nigeria's Ambassador to the United States of America, who has presented his Letters of Credence to President @realDonaldTrump, after his posting to the USA by His Excellency, @officialABAT, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Thursday, January 22, 2026. After his sterling military career, followed by his unblemished service to Nigeria as Director General of the Department of State Services and National Security Adviser, it is certain that Nigeria will be brilliantly represented by this specimen of the highest epitome of what it is to be an officer and a gentleman. I also acknowledge and celebrate the fact that you displayed Nigeria's culture and projected our nation's soft power by dressing in an elegant and flawless Aṣọ òkè ensemble. This, to me, is quite exemplary and celebratory, as I have dedicated much of my life to promoting authentically made-in-Nigeria clothing and fashion. My family and I congratulate Ambassador Are, and I, in particular, extend the right hand of fellowship to this patriot par excellence! Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. Honestly, I'll give it to Rauf Arẹgbẹsọla: the man has guts. He looked his own political godfather in the eye, said "we're done," and walked away like someone who actually believes in standing on his own two feet. That Ebira blood? Real. No pretense. You have to respect that. But Kayọde Fayẹmi? Ah, my brother. This one is something else entirely. Yesterday Thursday, he's on Edmund Obilo's podcast, calm voice, looking serious and he says, and I quote: "I would have been President today if I hadn't stepped down for Jagaban during the primary." I laughed. No, really, I laughed like I was eight years old again and someone told me the moon was made of cheese. Because let's be honest, Fayẹmi: on what structure? Which political machine? Where is your army of loyalists? Which state did you leave behind that's crying for you to come and lead Nigeria? Radio Kudirat? That's not a structure, that's a memory. And his Ekiti record? Let's just say if governing was farming, Fayẹmi's harvest would be a single yam tuber and a lot of excuses. Now here's the irony that makes you want to cry instead of laugh: Jagaban made this man Governor. Helped him. Then Fáyẹmí started planning against him - like the apprentice who sharpens the knife behind the master's back. What happened? He lost his re-election. Flat. And where did he run? Back to the same Jagaban, cap in hand, shame in pocket. Got re-elected. And now he thinks he can pull a Professor Osinbajo - skip from Governor to President like state house experience counts as national magic. The problem with these ex-governors is they finish eight years (or less) and start smelling Aso Rock like it's their birthright. But governing a state badly doesn't qualify you for a country. It qualifies you for a quiet retirement and maybe a memoir. As we Yorúbá say: Gbogbo ọ̀yà níí pera'ẹ̀ lọ́dù, alára níí gbéra ga! So Fayẹmi, abeg, sit down. Nahsɛnsɛ and ingredient, indeed. ©TayọlawaL ✍️ manteedetlaw@gmail.com #Nigeria #Ameachi

Congratulations to my dearest friend and brother His Excellency Governor Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna state, on his election and affirmation as our great party's flagbearer for the 2027 Governorship election in Kaduna state. I am so proud of you Uba and I know that God will continue to be with you, guide you and cause you to go from strength to strength. I have been in Kaduna with you for the better part of the last 9 days monitoring all your efforts to ensure that all the primaries went well and that we reached a consensus on all the positions. You worked hard, sometimes without having a wink of sleep through the night, and carried everyone along. I was very impressed and I want to thank you for your great service to your state and for making me feel as if I am part and parcel of it. Spending time with you and in Kaduna is always a joy to me and when I see the great efforts you have made in building bridges between the communities, in bringing peace and development to the state and in displaying a rare compassion in matters of governance and leadership it always brings me joy. There is no doubt in my mind that God is with you and that He shall continue to guide you. Thanks for receiving me so warmly and for your constant counsel and words of encouragement for me and mine. You are the epitome of a true brother and your courage under fire coupled with your clear understanding of both state and national issues are a testimony to your fortitude and ability to lead. I have no doubt that you shall go on from here to win a second mandate from the good people of Kaduna state in the next gubernatorial election after which your next four years as Governor shall be even greater than the first. May God continue to lead you and may He continue to crush your enemies and place them firmly under your feet. Live long and prosper my brother! As always, I wish you well in all your endeavours. Shalom. (FFK)

It was an honor and pleasure to pop into my beloved Zamfara state to see my distinguished and highly respected friend and brother Senator Abdul Aziz Yari, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Water Resources, in his beautiful country home in Talata Mafara and from there to proceed to the state's capital Gusau and spend a couple of days with my friend and brother, His Excellency Governor Dauda Lawal, the Executive Governor of Zamfara state. This was a great trip and we had fruitful and productive discussions about our great party and nation. I thank both Senator Yari and Governor Lawal for receiving me so kindly and warmly. Zamfara state has certainly gone from strength to strength under its present leadership and the transformation and rapid development that has taken place is not only remarkable but evident for all to see. As the Sadaukin Shinkafi, a traditional title which was bestowed on me in 2020 when my friend and brother His Excellency and Honorable Minister Bello Matawalle, the Honorable Minister of State for Defence, was Governor of the state, I have a special connection with Zamfara which I take very seriously. Unfortunately time would not permit me to do so on this occassion but on my next visit I shall pop into the beautiful and ancient town of Shinkafi to pay my respects to our Emir. May God continue to bless and protect the people and leaders of this great state and may He continue to guide and watch over them for good. (FFK)

...Sadly we did not spend much time together in the last few years and were only in touch from time to time but when I heard of your passing earlier today something broke in me. I realised that you were literally the living symbol of my lost childhood and the rallying point and star of those of us that grew up with you and loved you. You were the bridge between the North and the South: who spoke Yoruba better than I did but who was proud of his noble Ebira Northern heritage and his Royal roots. You were also the bridge between the children of the elites who went to the best schools from a very young age in England and those who went to the very best schools from a young age in Nigeria. We fought gang wars between the two groups in those days whenever we came home for holidays from abroad at the parties we used to meet and the various social clubs we all belonged to but you brought us all together. Ours was a generation of love and brotherhood which cannot be matched or replaced. We lived life to the fullest, we had it all, we saw it all, we watched each other's backs and accepted each other as we were. Those were the days when brotherhood meant something. Those were the days when loyalty was everything. Those were the days when we took pride in who we were and in being Nigerians. Those were the days when we, as a people and a generation, bowed to no-one and had it all. Those were the days we rocked London, New York, Paris, Athens, Cannes, Marbella, Malaga, Nassau, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, St. Moritz, Juan Le Pins, Acapulco and much of the world without a care and with no apology. We were tough, proud, wealthy, healthy, strong and feared young Nigerian men who had everything that we could ever want and we moved together like a pack of young wild lions. Those were the days my brother and we thought they would never end. Those were thevdays when our parents would worry about us and our futures and we would exchange notes and share jokes behind their backs and make a mockery of their fears. Then came adulthood with all its challenges and responsibilities and I believe that we all kept the flag flying and acquitted ourselves well. Outside of that our nation changed and the carefree days of joy and abundance for all came to an end as the fortunes of our beloved Nigeria dwindled. We pray for better days ahead and that our children and grandchildren can enjoy the essence and greatness of our people and country the way we once did. Meanwhile my brother I commit you into the hands of God. May He forgive you for all your sins and grant you eternal peace and rest in heaven. May your name never fade away or be forgotten and may your legacy, a great legacy built by your distinguished ancestors and forefathers, remain strong. I miss you already. I miss our fellowship. I miss our shared experiences and our many secrets. I miss our joint childhood and all our other brothers many of whom have passed on. Ours is a dwindling generation. We had our time and God was good to us. We had everything and cannot complain. Now it is time for you to rest brother and for those of us you have left behind to accept the inevitablity of what lies ahead. God is with us and you are with Him. Greet our brothers that crossed over before you and tell them that FFK sends his love. I pray for your precious soul brother and know that I shall NEVER forget you, whether in this world or the next. Rest well Suku Su and may the Lord strengthen, bless and protect your family and your wife, children and loved ones that you have left behind. (FFK)

FOR NAZIR...💔 My dearest brother Prince Nazir Ado Ibrahim of the Royal House of the Atta's in Ebiraland, Kogi state has passed & it has hit me hard. We grew up together, shared an eventful & rich childhood with many remarkable experiences & went through thick & thin together for 60 years! I thought we would grow old together & share the memories of our childhood whilst in retirement. I thought we would comfort each other in old age whilst the world quietly passed us by. I thought so much & planned so much but alas you are gone! You were one in a million brother. Always putting smiles on everyone's faces. I remember the days of Atta Lodge in Yaba, your dear father, the late Ohinoyi's house, where we all used to meet with friends & have a great time in the late 1970's & early 1980's. I remember the days in Chelsea at my apartment in Pier House, my fathers house in Brighton & your father's mansion in Belgravia. I remember the days of Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi Club & Apapa Club where we used to gather & move around in our fearsome & daring "gang" of wild & adventurous friends! I remember the boxing & karate lessons we used to have & what a great warrior & courageous fighter you were. I remember how we were at JB' s house in a place called Bourdillon near the National Stadium in Lagos & police raided the place! I remember how we fought back to back & shoulder to shoulder together against our assailants whenever either of us was attacked or threatened. We never lost brother & they never had us down! That is what made our relationship so special. Nothing & no-one could come between us. We spoke a strange language to one another & we communicated in code & with our eyes. We walked the dark side together &, by the grace of God, we both survived. I remember how we learnt to ride horses together & play polo & how we used to both love marking the streets & treading the paths of the rougher sides of old Lagos in flashy cars whilst flexing our hard & crazy muscles. I remember the rivalries we all had over the girls, I remember the fights with the white boys & the locals, I remember the squabbles we all used to have over the most insignificant things, I remember the love that our band of brothers shared, I remember the numerous controversies we got into, I remember the numerous punishments that we jointly faced from our respective parents for our many wild outings & I remember how we used to go to night clubs like Legends, Tramp, Main Squeeze, Monkberrys & others in London and Studio 54 & Xenon in New York! I remember visiting you in a place called Geneva in upstate New York & how we drove to meet our brother Des Braithwaite in Syracuse! I remember your Porsche 928 S & his & mine & I rember how, in the various cities in the world, the police would stop & ask us how we could afford such cars at such a young age. We laughed them to scorn because they did not know who & what we were & more often than not we served them with hot words & left them with teary eyes & red faces! That was in the early 1980's & my goodness we had fun! We lived life to the fullest with Azad your older brother, Des Braithwaite, Kunle Braithwaite, Tonye Amachree, Deremi Ajidahun, Layeni Fagbayi, Gbegi & Dapo Ojora, Oscar Ibru, Gregg Mbadiwe, Gbolahun Sanyaolu, Ade Adetona, Ike Monu & so many others. Later in the 1980's you became my in-law after I married your beautiful cousin Saratu Atta, who was the daughter of your Uncle, the late Governor Adamu Atta of the old Kwara state. She & I have a beautiful daughter called Folake who you used to dote over with such affection & who you had a soft spot for when she was a baby. So much happened since that time but through it all you & I loved each other in the same way that Achilles & Patrocholus loved one another. Always watching each others backs & standing up for one another, often fighting over small matters & always coming back together again. (CONTINUED BELOW 👇👇👇)
