@delujnl Broken Arrow is pure Beatles though. So is Expecting To Fly. The stream of consciousness changes in Old Laughing Lady? He has a lot of influences, everybody does, but there’s almost no 60s or 70s artist not directly influenced by The Beatles, not in popular music.

@Bafflegabs I’m sure Neil was blown away by the Beatles but Mr. Soul was more Stones than Beatles, Hendrix was ultimately the biggest influence on his guitar tone

@delujnl Yes, but the bits of The Beatles that influenced indie rock etc aren’t really the early rock bits. Don’t get The Shins or Wet Leg covering “Reelin’ & Rockin’” all that often, but they’ve both used a flanger. Is all I’m saying, not really a value judgment.
