Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams recently filed four trademark applications to legally claim the "Iceman" nickname for his own clothing and merchandise line, but Spurs legend George "The Iceman" Gervin is officially fighting back. Just days after Williams submitted his paperwork, the 73-year-old Spurs legend filed his own competing trademark applications for both "Iceman" and "Iceman 44." In his legal filings, Gervin's team made sure to point out that he has been using the moniker commercially since 1979- a full 22 years before Caleb Williams was even born. Gervin has also gone to the press to defend his legacy, flat-out stating: "There's only one Iceman, and I am he."

I’ve been mostly silent on the LaRussell nonsense but I just saw a video from someone in his camp.. the caption suggested while ppl are online mad, they’re over there living it up, partying. All I can say is, his mask completely slipped & it reminds me how dangerous arrogance is. He carries a humble persona but it’s clear he struggles with even admitting that he used a phrase incorrectly & instead of acknowledging that.. everybody else must be slow & incapable of grasping what he was tryna say… he’s not grasping that words mean things & he misrepresented the meaning of a phrase. Claiming ppl are online mad bc ppl are online discussing a controversial point that he brought online in the first place.. is as shallow as the initial point he was tryna make.. insulting folks intelligence bc he used the wrong phrase.. is very off putting & no matter how much you smile wearing hoodies & sweat pants to appear down to earth… LaRussell revealed a dangerous type of arrogance that won’t even allow him to take the good advice from ppl around him who love & depend on his continued success.
