They stagger under the weight, but they keep moving, step by agonizing step, right past the armed soldiers. Conrad's commanders turn to him, waiting for orders. This isn't what he meant. This is defiance disguised as obedience. He could stop them. He should stop them. The word "carry" was never supposed to mean this. But Conrad does something that echoes through centuries. He laughs. Not in mockery, but in genuine admiration. Then he gives the order: let them pass. A king's word, once given, cannot be broken. Even if it was outsmarted by desperate wives. Every single man walked free that day, carried on the back of the woman who loved him enough to bear his weight. The siege ended not with blood, but with a loophole and a choice. Conrad kept his honor. The women kept their families. History would call them the Weinsberg Women, and their story became legend. Sometimes the greatest victories don't come from swords. They come from seeing exactly what wasn't said and having the courage to walk through that gap. The tale comes primarily from the Chronica Regia Pantaleonis, with Otto of Freising's chronicle written shortly after adding further detail. While historians debate how much was embellished, the Siege of Weinsberg was very real, part of the bloody conflict between Hohenstaufen and Welf factions tearing apart the Holy Roman Empire. Perdó, però en aquest vídeo no diu això. Diu que "la percepció majoritària a Catalunya és que el català és la llengua pròpia de Catalunya", ignorant de fet el que diu l'article 6 de l'Estatut. No és una qüestió de "percepcions" sinó de dret, de llei. I aquesta actitud revela un acomplexament incompatible amb ser el màxim responsable de la política lingüística en una situació d'emergència. Perquè la força legal de la condició de "llengua pròpia" té molt més recorregut i orientaria millor les polítiques del seu departament que si ho consideres simplement una "percepció" en què la majoria està d'acord. Per cert, que els dos únics exemples que va citar a l'entrevista en defensa del Govern espanyol són dues exigències de @JuntsXCat: la petició de l'oficialitat del català a la UE i la catalanització de La2. Encara n'hi podia haver afegit una altra, que és l'oficialitat del català al Congrés dels Diputats de ple dret, no com una concessió amable de la presidència de la Cambra.
